What's your computer spec?
From what player are you playing it from?
What codec is the video file? |

if you are using the CCCP Codec you have to go into the settings and change the settings to the version of DirectX you have ie. I have DirectX 9.0 you go into the settings (you open the player in this case it is media player clasic) go to view then options under playback click output. under that there should be three boxes (of course this is media player clasic) in the first one select VMR9 Renderless (Its VMR9 because the 9 represents the DirectX version) Then in the next 2 Select DirectX 9 it should say (and again this is media player clasic) DirectX9 ** select those and your problem should be fixed.
This fix also works for the K-Lite Codec Pack
DivX should come auto set
and i am not sure if you use the CCCP but u run the other video player Zoom Player _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART... Theres your freebie... |

| Try uninstalling your current ffdshow, restart, then install the latest ffdshow. You MUST do this in this order. Upon installing ffdshow, it'll ask you which codecs you want it to support and h.264 is one of them. I'd recommend using Media Classic Player because I know for sure that that will play h.264 video files. I don't know any other reasons why you're having trouble playing h.264 video files except that your video card or your system is too old for it. (I have my system downclocked to 766Mhz using Geforce3 Ti200 64MB and I could still watch h.264 videos) |
