blood in anime

has anyone noticed that usually blood in anime is black-colored? it's kind of rare to see actual red blood. why is that?

i can't really provide pictures, as, well, it's blood, hello, but for those who frequently watch anime that involves people killing each other, you know what i mean. i mean, some animes have red blood, but a lot of them don't.

this is really trivial, but hey, i'm stuck at home doing nothing and need something to do.

I dont think so, lots of red dude! I think when they do it black its because there is a lot of it so its darker. Might wanna check your anime tho maybe your colors are messed up

Blood in anime are normally red but it sometimes look black because of the background used in animation.

or they make it white so it looks like it spit if you don't know what i'm talking about most of the anime on the cartoon network.

Well it all depends on the animators, i mean come on, take Elfen lied for an example. lots of reds and blackes mixed to form a pirfectly plended color.

but if u look at Naruto the blood isa morevivid red than black.

I have seen black blood, but most of the blood I've seen is red. I dont really care. I mean, its freakin awesome either way Razz

I dont mind a bit of the stuff....

But when its either in torrents......then I find it a little excecive and pointless....

and when its gorry.....well, I just dont like that kinda stuff....

But nah, Iv got nothing against a bit of blood......you see that in just about any other program you watch....

blood isn't really bright red, it's more a darkish red isn't it, as least it is on CSI...

i think they do quite a good job of drawing blood but it is a bit dark sometimes

blood is always dark red but it is sometimes seen red and most animes use red as most of people know.

blood is a thick liquid... the more of it you have, the darker the color will get. Smears and small dabs of it are bright red, but if you've seen puddles or those bags they have in hospitals, they are almost black.

so it depends on how much blood we're talking... and the amount of time it's been sitting for. If you come upon a murder scene, the blood on the walls/floors/everything else will be dark red, even if smeared. Under these conditions, the anime artists got it right
