| All of these you've posted are attractive. You've got cool concepts. The shading and details are good, especially hair shading. |

Nice Drawings...you can draw~!!!...
I suggest you should use water-colour as the background [any colour]
Once again i say your drawings are really good..they look absolutely great... |

to ZoXArkXoZ:
i used to be a big b-ball fan, now I still play and follow the games, but I am all aobut drawing now.
to Yoshimi:
he he!! yes, I can draw, so is everyone
I love watercolour very much(but I suck bad at it).
to Caith:
Cool concept....don't know about that. Sometimes I felt that I am very weak at creating or designing clothing, buildings...etc.
About the hair, I still need to improve a lot on that.
I am kind of discouraged by how little my skill is improving these days.
When I look at my drawings, I just felt they look so amaturish(Sign).
This is the first time I tried to do a full backround with Photoshop, and also is the first time I worked on the the hair this detailed.
Please comment on both....or anything about the drawing. Thx. |

The best way to improve your skill is to set a high goal and try to achieve it. See if there are any publications or any comic book companies that you would like to work for and work on building a portfolio that would appeal to them. A specific goal is always key to improvement. If you really want to commit yourself to this and make a career out of it then taking a drawing class would also be a good idea.
Now for the pic:
The background lacks a lot of detail. The fence looks great, so does the tree but the front grass feels very empty. The far background also needs more detail devoted to it. I know that too much detail would take the focus off the main character but too little detail leaves the picture feeling empty and flat.
BakanekoNei would be the best person to give you advice on the hair ^^ |

Love all your sketches and drawings, your watercolor drawings are really great - always wanted to achive that style/coloring to my watercolor drawings but they never turn out the way I'd like, like yours do. Your style seems very varied, though it's not a bad thing. It's nice to see different drawing styles from time to time.
As for your cgs, hang in there. dont give up, you're on your way! The cgs look very nice from where I'm standing, they give off a great soft and vibrant feeling.
It seems though, as Angel King pointed out that the bg seems to lack detail because the forefront of the image's a bit different (compared to the background I mean) I dont think there's anything wrong with the colors or cg style that you have, maybe if you had softened up the lineart there wouldnt be so much of a noticable difference... if that makes any sense.
I love coloring hair on my cgs, it's the fun part for me and I go crazy with details. lol Maybe a little too much sometimes... *sweatdrop* Any advice I can give, I'll be happy to comment again on your pieces. For the recent picture, I dont think you need that much detail on the hair and I think you did a great job with it... can't really say much more than that. ^^;
....>_> whaa sorry for such a long post. |

to angel king:
not too sure about what you are refering to as setting a goal.
But my aim for now is to improve on my line art, hair, and backround.
I think that is my current goal.
I want to become better not becuase I want to find a job in the anime industry. It simply for the love of acg. Although having a career related to anime making is very nice, I am not thinking that far ahead yet.
I did this today. It did not give me the feeling that I wanted, but at least I can see some progress in my skill when I compare this piece and the last one.
One thing bothers me very very much is my line art.
If you look closely you can c that my lines are thick and ugly as h*ll.
That is becuase I did it will pencil, and that is the thinist line I can get.
I am tired of those line so I want to learn using path to draw.
Anyone knows a good site that teaches how to use path? Same thing with the hair. I can't get to the detail of the hair becuase mouse is very hard to control. I don't think I can ever use mouse to draw beutiful curly hair so I would like to learn using path. |
