Why do people read manga?

why do people read manga in the first place?
don't get me wrong, i do and i enjoy it

But WHY?

Well, simply coz I enjoy it........I mean.... I could go into detail, just like any hobby.....but in the end, all that matters is that you enjoy it~

What got me into manga was the art. I remeber reading american comics and the little dot colors annoyed me. I thought they could do a little better with the technology out at the time. When I saw manga in plain black and white I realised they could to do more high quality stuff because they didn't have to worry about how it was going to be colored

I mostly read manga because of the art, story, plot, and some parts you can't find in the anime.

I read manga coz I enjoy reading it and it makes me comfortable coz other books like novels or some other comics there, I ust don't feel like reading it... It's just that maybe I'm too picky..

But what hook me up in reading the manga was the art and story.. It's just that the art is so unique compared to the other comics but still for me it's more about enjoying it..

Anyway, I think my first manga is Love Hina. I read pocket books and novels, as well as american comics, so when I saw a manga, it was like a gift from heaven~

(*_*) ~ sigh

You can't imagine my happiness at discovering that wonderful world where everything is exaggerated, where fanservice ruled, and that even being punched towards space would still be survivable~

I got hooked.

Since then, I slowly climbed through IRC and found this place~ Where I can read manga without downloading them....

This question traces, back to when i was little...manga to me was like anime but on paper lol the reason behind that is becasue the anime for DBZ and Doraemon were almost identical to manga...so thats the impression i had from when i was a kid.

I still sorta think of manga like that...my way of distinguishing anime and manga in my head is wierd ..even to myself

Hmmmm... Why you say ??...i guess lowest bandwidth usage(when obtained from the web), fastests to obtain(again from the web), fresh, good fun on everypage, intresting stories...well apart from some unoriginal manga's Confused

...easy to obtain on the net, eliminates boredom and Most of all it is a BLOODY GOOD WASTE OF TIME ..... ahem .... yeah, it eat up my time really fast without me knowing it...and as for most people they can download manga faster than they can read it....unlike ...anime >.>...which takes longer to download and does not last as long as chapters of manga equalling the same size.

And oh yeah usally manga's give a slightly different view or/and more information on the anime based on it or that it was based on.... and for those who have surely noticed manga is more expicted ...for some much more explicted than the anime......for example.....Tenjou Tenge.. Twisted Evil

the manga has boobs, sex, bondage, gore ..the lot... thats also why the toned down anime version (no sex, boobs, and bondage Sad

) of it disappointed me and maybe some other fans of it as well Wink

...although then it might become classified as hentai and companies won't be able to cash in on it from the age 15 unders. Neutral

Last note: ...and i just enjoy reading it Very Happy

i only read manga if the anime i am watching now has some really bad animation or it really misses the storyline
