HunterXHunter Nen abilities Vs Naruto Chakra techniques

hey, for starters i hope this hasnt allready been done (though it seems a bit obvious for a debate topic to me) i checked the backlog of posts and didnt see anything at a glance, so anyway-

what are your views on a Hunter x Hunter character with their nen abilities, say Hisoka for example against a naruto character of similar strength, like old kakashi?

-youve got shadowclones against powers such as black/white Goran
-deadly combat tactitians with technique stealing like itachi against kuroro Lucifer
-the dark prodigies like killua and sasuke
and on and on....

actually id also like to hear what you would consider as equal characters between the 2 mangas, because i keep imagining lots of scenarios over this.
( i say similar strength because narutos answer to continuing a manga is by making the explosions bigger each time, while hunters is more about attitude and experience)

I think they are much alike,don't they? Ecspecially when they're training

I would say nen is better as it is personalised to yourself and does not restrict yourself to your family's ability.

I like nen better because you have some more leeway in choosing which skills to hone and that makes it seem more believeable than chakra.

in my opnion chakra abilities are a lot more overpowered than nen abilities, further more shinobies in naruto seem to learn as much techniques as they could contrary to one or two nen abilities (except kuroro), and chakra seems to be cabable of more varied effects like body binding size multiplication, summoning and blood packts, even the basic abilities are in favor of chakra like runing on walls and water surface, compared to ken,kou and zetsu..

Chakra is like the essence within someone. So i probably prefer chakra and go crazy like Rock Lee
