5 page preview of my manga

Here's 5 pages from my story Wonderland Warrior Alice which will be released in 20 pages monthly. More details will come later when my group's official web site goes up^^

Anyway, I had to do this in a hurry because besides having deadlines, I also got college. So, the lines are flat, there are no tones and sound effects, not to mention the speech baloons having no tails.

I'm not ev en sure if this scene is gonna be in the actual storyline coz I only thought of this in one night (hench the random craziness it appears to portray).

you hand draw your stuff right? what kind of pen do u use to ink it? i have never done inkings before and id like to give it a shot.. im not sure what kind of pen to use though so im trying to generate input on that Smile

...i personally think thats its just missing some sfx words there and there and then it will be kanpeki! (means perfect...i think)

I don't know what to say... it seems like you're getting a lot positive reaction from the other members here, but I'm kinda unimpressed

I'll tell you why:
1) wtf is going on? haha, well, I don't expect to understand everything all at once, but is this the very first scene of the whole manga or is this just a sample snippet?

2) the art-style seems a little outdated, moreso the character designs. Seems like something out of the 80s and I'm not quite sure if that's what fans are looking for these days

3) the Alice in Wonderland theme might be played-out by now... Kagihime Monogatari ~something~ Alice Rondo has recently finished it's initial run, so I'm not quite sure if fans are clamoring for more or if they're done with it for the time being

those are my thoughts, take them for what they're worth. I wish I cold say something positive, but what I saw isn't really my forte. I represent the typical-viewer in the manga world and not the hardcore, heehee

Thanks for the feedbacks guys!!

I just thought of this for one night
(I don't want to use my more seriously-thought-of pieces) and
drew everything (pencils)for like 8 hours.
I didn't really care for the story yet when I made this.
I'll start working on the actual manga this October.
The title itself is even tentative because I haven't read/seen
"Alice in Wonderland" besides having a glimpse of it while playing Kingdom Hearts.

I did this for my school's manga club and I'm one of the newest members aka newcomers and our leader said to just make something quick.

I'm not even sure if I'll use this scene at all
(and it's more probable that I don't because of my intentions with the story)^^
And I only used the curve tool for the inking instead of the tablet.
So I must say I didn't enjoy making these 5 pages as much as I thought I would (hence, the lack of tones, sound effects, and other minor details).

As for what the final product with be, let's just say this story is my big experiment (or rather, this club is my excuse to experiment).

Oh and yeah don't worry about the art style
(or rather don't be bothered by what it looks like for now).
Like I said I only thought of the the designs and drew it in merely a few hours so you could say this is a very early rough draft of some sort.

wait so u do all the 'inking' by computer?
is that how most artists do their stuff nowadays? owell if u have any ideas on a kind of pen that people use pls let me know thanks
