What are some good activities for an anime club to do. It seems just watching series and holding random discussions is not enough, and may be getting dull. This club is in my high school, so we don't really have much money, and we only meet one a week, so it can't be anything too big/time consuming. So what are some fun anime related activities we can do?

in my club, sometimes we watch AMVs and talk about conventions (we usually have photos to pass around). That's probably it for extraneous activities since we do spend most of our meetings actually watching anime. Of course, I don't go every week either. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
Whether it's trivia, video games, cosplay, karaoke. It'll bring people together. Putting up comedy-esque anime is the best choice because it's easy to watch it with a big group (vs. say... drama or slice-of-life, it's more of an alone thing, at least, in my opinion).

If you dont have to submit anything to a teacher or something before, I mean if your club is not here for a curricular purpose, you could simply play video games....
Hmm well Himitsu resume pretty much mostly what you can do to have fun in an anime club. Haha Karaoke that could be fun. But dont forget it not because you think you can sing that others people will think the same ^^
I'll sugest that you watch movie / 13 eps anime at the limit 24 eps but dont go over that because well in an once a week reunion you probly wont have the time to finish longer series and well it kind of harder to watch.
Anyway that the point of an anime club, watch anime no?
Well I ran a lot of these ideas by my club, as well as a few of my own, and now we are going to start making a monthly magazine/paper type thing. We have a couple good artists and writers to make up a couple of chapters of their own original manga, and others will do things such as trivia, anime reviews, and other various columns. I'm the editor as well has writer of a couple of columns. Now we're debating ideas for the name. So far it seems we're gonna keep it ambiguous with the name That Monthly, but if you have any good suggestions I would gladly consider them. I hope the other people in the shool appreciate this, since I'm sure not many of them know much about/ care for anime. Hopefully this will even drag us in a few new members who want to help out.
Anyway, thanks for the ideas everyone. The problem with actually watching anime is a lot of the members are girls who love shoujo and yaoi type anime (-_-) and the guys are vehemently against it, but they want to watch things too violent so we constantly argue over what to do.
