I get it that you aren't really that a pirate enthusiast..
Yet you are dead wrong about them on the no-technique part..
*Swordfighting - these guys are not waving the sword around like a moron(well maybe some of the crew) they are knowledgeable about good swordplay
*Navigation - Getting lost in the sea or marooned on an island isn't a happy thing to experience, so if these peg-legged, one-eyed fools are complete idiots without arming theirselves
*Gunplay - modern guns of today(small guns like the common glock) have less recoil compared to old pistols, so marksmanship is a common skill among gun handlers

Swivelgun
Swivelguns (so called because they were mounted on swivels on the ship's gunwales) are like minature cannons and were generally loaded with grapeshot. They were used to sweep the deck of an enemy ship before boarding.

You gotta be kidding me...
I am also a ninja enthusiast just think of it that i hold em #2 in my list..
Ninja, a shadow person lives up to it's not because he's always wearing those cool black(*cough* stereotype!!*cough*) suits..
They are shinobis or ninjas because of their low detection rate and superb cloaking, so it means they don't usually kill in their element the dark but they are master of disguises..
Some Bishounen ninja's dress up or what they call chameleon spell (hehe tenchu)
And about pirate's peglegs and eyepatches..
These mark a pirate's unforgettable stories..
In some groups these scars are greatly honored..
Pirates and ninjas have one thing in common...
Every fight will be to the death..

The eye patches are used for night vison more often than covering an injory.
As for me I would love to be a Ninja-Pirate

| Personally, I like ninja's more, the idea of killing someone in secret without anyone knowing about it seems kinda cool to me. That and they look scary... and they get to wear cool outfits. |

wow that video doesnt show u anything between pirates or ninjas lol
i think ninjas are WAYYYYYYYY better than pirates.
theyre so much cooler, they can do alot more than a pirate can.
pirates stink anyway, theyre slow, and all they can do is fist fight and sword fight and shoot guns
ninjas are smooth, stealthy, quiet, and skillfull
ninjas who know kung fu are the best

Hmm... I don't think I'd ever want to be a pirate. They sit on a smelly ship for months at a time, surrounded by other smelly guys that might just have scurvy if things aren't going good in the fruit department. I just always though of being a pirate as a rather displeasing thing.
So I think I'd rather be a ninja.

Look, pirates are OBVIOUSLY better. If pirates ever got pissed at Ninjas, they would just go kill them. The Ninja would start using some crazy-ass technique, then BOOM! A cannonball just blew up him and everything else in the vacinity. Then the pirates will go to the Ninja village, sell their children as slaves, rape their women and burn the whole thing so no more Ninjas can ever be born.

nah ninjas are better. they're stealthy. they would sneek on to the pirate's ship and kill them all, cause they kick ass like that.

definition of kung fu? wat do u mean? im talking about the martial arts kung fu. u know wing chun, jeet kune do, wushu, and all those other ones.
aside from knowing kung fu, ninjas can throw things really well like stars and throwing knives , and theyre experts at weapons including the sword, spear, whips, and many other things.
o and if a pirate shot a cannonball at a ninja, i think ninjas are fast enuff to dodge it  easily

They wouldn't get the chance. Pirates would just bomb their asses. You see pirates have lookouts, and they are in the water, so the ninjas couldn't even get to them. Everyone knows pirates never have to go on land, and that water melts ninjas.

subbergod has a point here.... if ninjas and pirates battled at sea on boats, then the pirates would win cuz they have cannons. if the ninjas could somehow get onto the ship tho, its over for the pirates
but if they were on land. ninjas would win hands down

In case you hadn't realised it, ninjas aren't the same as those guys on naruto. Ninjas were stealthy but not THAT stealthy. The samurai commonly did ninja purges and killed most of them with few casulties on the side of the samurai. And if a pirate captain is killed, the next pirate in line take his place.

| Ninja by far. there might have been a lot more pirates but ninjas are just cooler. maybe that is why they are cooler because basically any one can become a pirate but to become a ninja was super difficult |

swabbing the deck, stealing booty, fishing, sailing the 7 seas years at a time and living off fish is not an easy task anyone can do. but im sure some of us could endure this type of lifestyle. not every can live this way tho 
but yes being a ninja is harder than being a pirate i would say
pirates can get sucked up in whirlpools when theyre out in the ocean tho. that sux
