I think watcha talking about is Jed Madela, yeah! He is great, he won all of the awards in the contest I think in New york city, I dont know really with the participant all around the world. This is his video:

ack...never expected this one to show up here. I was NEVER a fan of Filipino music of any kind (English included).
so I guess I can't make a very intelligent comment about this one.

EH?!!  There are many types and kinds of filipino music you know... Even in the old days just like kundiman and there are many artists and songs that really become popular internationally like Anak by Freddie Aguilar.
I think you're generalizing things because what you've heard about filipino music today. BTW, are you also a flip? |

actually...yes I am. Xkristyan knows that I AM also a Filipino.
but even though I am...I never liked them even when I still lived in the Philippines.
and I've heard Filipino music since I was born in Phlippines. My first Language is Tagalog...lol. Surprised?

before this gets off-topic I'll answer it in one post.
actually, all I can say is that I really don't like them. I have no definite reason. but I'm not saying I hate all of them, I like the funny ones like "Sinaktan mo ang Puso ko" lol and "Humanap ka ng Panget"

And have you also heard of Pagdating ng Panahon by Aiza Seguerra? |
No for both questions. I heard Aiza Seguerra isn't as good as she was before and nobody likes her anymore coz she turned into a tomboy.
That Sitti music vid was nice. I should try to learn how to play that on guitar. |

Well what Im talking about is Aiza Seguerra in her prime. She even admits that her first and second album never succeed, but it is . Thats really a accomplishment for her.
Yeah, Sitti is good, her album was even in the top of the charts of tower records... |
