well... i dun really know the effect of having a isp with a variable ip address, but i dont think so. So the vote limit is based on ip rather than user account? but wont this be a bit unfair? like i can use the com at the library, my school my fren house... etc

that's true, but you can't use your A-S account for more than 5 cause we can just start deleting the extras.
Plus, there's no honor in cheating, if your fave character isn't on the list, then upping their numbers won't change anything. We want a nice honest poll for the most accurate count possible. In order for that to happen, we're going to have to trust people to keep to the rules ^__^ _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Yes it's unfair, but it's you beeing unfair (if you would be doing it). That's why the results are kept "secret". We wanted to have the most people possible voting, for that we needed to open voting by IP. It's not possible otherwise. And trust me when I say more then 2/3 of votes are made by non members.

A little help.
Can you tell me which votes I submitted? I was waiting for my STUDD to be accepted, but then I forgot who I inputted..
well, I tried to help you out, but there are no submissions with your name on them. This means one of two things:
1) your submissions have already been put into the database
2) you weren't logged-in when you submitted them (since there are many nameless entries standing-by right now)
one of the admins with higher settings may be able to check for you, sorry _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

You're not talking about submitting STUDD, right?
Because I'm not talking about submitting STUDD. I meant the actual voting thing, where you click on the yellow links.
errr... ummmm, well I was talking about STUDD since you wrote "I was waiting for my STUDD to be accepted, but then I forgot who I inputted.. "
I assumed that meant you submitted some data, then was waiting for them to appear because if the data's not there, there's no way you can vote for them.
Argh... anyway... no, I don't see any STUDD data with your name on it. As for your votes, one of the admins will have to get back to on that when/if they have time. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

UPDATE:
we've all been working around the clock trying to keep up with the STUDD submissions. Again, if you had to submit data for a character that wasn't in the system a few days ago, be sure to check back occassionally. I, myself, just put through about 20 requests and then spent the last few hours adding these of my own:
- Magikano: 7 Profiles and 7 Icons
- Mahoraba ~ Heartful Days: 2 Profiles and 6 Icons
- Dears: 2 Profiles and 2 Icons
- This Ugly Yet Beautiful World: 6 Profiles and 6 Icons
- Mahoromatic (Seasons 1 and 2): 10 Profiles and 10 Icons
- High School Girls: 6 Profiles and 6 Icons
- Nurse Witch Komugi: 5 Profiles and 5 Icons
- Stellvia of the Universe: 5 Profiles and 0 Icons... (now 15 profiles, icons will be added tomorrow)
If you had interest in characters from those shows, now's the time to go check out the data and submit your votes.
a word of advice... when submitting data, try to be as thorough as possible. A quick search for data such as voice actors only takes a minute and makes our job easier (since we have so many to go through). Also, whenever possible, please include a brief profile or description in your own words... and don't plagurize!!! I had one or two copied from other sites and those were thrown out. I would have contacted the individual and asked him to rewrite it, but it was an unregistered account. Also, please please please be sure you're actually putting the character's name down. I've seen so many with literally just the voice actor and the series name. Sometimes I try to figure out who they're talking about, but often times it's just a dead end.
Keep the questions coming and be sure to get your votes in soon. Remember, polls later this month. ^__^ _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Oh dear... it's told me that I had used up all my votes already. But I've only voted for 2 character's so far ...I am very sure I haven't put in any other votes, because I have been tossing and turning my top 5 for ages ...

if anyone is caught in that glitch of having unlimited votes, maybe they will be kind enough to submit some for you. Who did you want to vote for? _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

well, this isn't a normal poll... this is a huge survey being sponsored by the administration. In order to get the most participation from people, we decided to sweeten the deal a bit. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
