Although, I'm only voting for two of them in this event (I keep wanting to say "contest" but it's not really a competition)... I have other favorites from all-time. I only picked those 5 above because they fit the other contest better.

pictures? hmmmm... let me get back to you on that
and no, submitting STUDD data will not affect your vote. You submit a character, then give it a few hours/a day then go back to see if he/she's been uploaded to the system, THEN vote for him/her
