I gave this link to the writing staff, now it's your turn to test it out. See the difference between "they're," "there," and "their"... "your," and "you're," etc etc etc. Even the most confident english speaker will be surprised by some of the answers.
I got a 94.74% _________________

96.49% Woot! If only I were better at typing and didn't make so friggn' many typos... *sigh* My motor skills suck. But at least my grammar is good. And I'm not a native speaker.

Becuase "hung" means "it was hanging", whereas hanged refers to "someone put it there to hang by the neck and die". They refer to different stuff. _________________

B.S.! Why can't speeding in your car be both risky and risque? I know it can be risky, but can't it theoretically be risque? I know risque implies moral (as in sexual) indencencies, but what about a situation in which speeding involves immoral acts.
Oh what am I babbling about? I suck at English, anyway.
This doesn't really seem to be a grammar quiz, more of a usage and diction quiz. Oh well... |
