Just two weeks left in the contest before the Fanart of the Year gets underway.

The competition is really heating up in the last few weeks of this contest and the winners prove it. Afu is the champion this week with his "Death Note" picture. I personally love the crazed look in the lower characters eye. Very well done so congratulations!

the right eye on the guy on the bottom makes him seem kinda like a fish, like that it seems like its placed on the side of his head, but overall its pretty good

It looks a lil' off, but it seems to be able to pull it off as far as character design goes. I do really like the use of the background, very cutting edge pop Very Happy

Now I know what you mean by "get crazy with the detail".

Thank you so much for concidering my image as the winner for this week! *blush* I'm really honured and I thank everyone who's commented on the picture.

Ah yes, I see what you're all pointed out. ^_^; I'm not very good with straight face profile, I'll try me best to improve though!

If you're wondering who these characters are, they are from the manga Death Note. The art is done by Obata Takeshi and the story is by Ooba Tsugumi. (If the name sounds familar, they are the pair that also created the anime/manga Hikaru no GO) If you read MONSTER I'm sure you'll also like Death Note. It's a very clever, dramatic and suspense filled manga.

<3 I adore L. Every drawing of him in the manga is dynamic, isn't it? You can always see that he's an interesting character. The way posture, expression, hands and (for once) feet are used to express his personality is great. So I love his expression and pose in this drawing. ^_^ He looks neurotic, doesn't he? Good job!

I like the overall background design, but I think you need a little work on the characters.
