I was playing Halo 2 on Heroic. During the second level, I traded my plasma rifle with the black Sergant (the one from Halo 1) for a sniper rifle. When the Hunters showed up, the Sergant jumped off the two story build we were on and took both of them on at once. He got punched, shot and beaten, but didn't die and in the end he killed both of them.

Yeah, he was scripted to be Invulnerable ( God Mode ) on that level even on Legendary ( what I am playing ). You could have gotten through that part by just hanging back in one corner for a long wait, letting Sarge take care of everything yourself.

I am currently stuck on the
Scarab Boss Fight. On Legendary, anything can kill you once your shields are down, and shields go down fast....

well this is what ya gotta do

first run forward grab the rocket launcher.

then with the ammo on the first bridge, unload on all the guys that are coming out from its control room.

make sure you get the jackals with the laser rifles they will END you

as the scarab starts going under the first bridge run back off of it, and down towards the second bridge.

on the way there will be more ammo for the launcher, grab it and procede to fire it all at the guys on the scarab.

then when the scarab starts going under that bridge, run down to the third bridge (more ammo for launcher on the way)

finally use whatever other gun you have to take out as many of the little guys that are left as possible. When the scarab goes under, jump onto its back.

now you want to save at least 4 rockets for inside the control room.

so use grenades to take out the rest of the elites on the scarabs back

now go down inside the scarab

swing to the left at the bottom of the ramp fire a rocket at the elite at the controls, then hi-tail it back up top.

as the guys start coming up out of the control room, start blasting them with rockets and grenades (make sure you take out the white elite with the beam sword ASAP (he is the biggest threat on the entire scarab)

after that there should be very little resistance left (if any at all), use what ever weapons are left lying around to finish off any little threats that may still remain

AND YOUR DONE

THAT SCARAB IS TOAST

Well Yebyosh, my friends and I have finially done it...(which includes Duthek, ) we are on the last level on Legendary, and I think that legendary only appears to be hard b/c in the first two level you get shit for weapons and have impossible things to do with them...

Maybe I an getting better at it

Oh my gosh! Halo 2 is finally out! yay!

Would you all say it was better/ worse than the original (which was, in my opinion, pure genius}?

Now to find £40 to buy the game...

In comparison to Halo ( 1 ), in Halo 2, the atmosphere is still there, though reviews say the game is shorter ( I still love the BGM, one of the best in instilling atmosphere in you for games ).

I am still having fun, though there are frustrations especially on Solo Legendary. Some encounters seem to be catered for instant super hit-scanner sniper FPS legends Razz

. Nevertheless it is possible and I belong to the 'hard games are fun games' category.

Now currently stuck on the assault on the Prophet of Regret. Darn White Sangheili and Beam Rifle Kig-Yars *shakes his fist*. Nice to hear others are making better progress than me ( *cheers* Iceman1013 and Duthek ). Yes, the first levels were indeed very hard. Due to your maximum one bar health, you cannot afford to stand out there firing if your shields are down. Plus the weapons suck... gawds, even the Plasma Sword is useless in Legendary except against the Flood. Beam Rifle rocks!!!

Got past the Scarab when I finally realised that there is no time limit, i.e. the Scarab will stand there at the cul-de-sac, rather than "Oh, it has charged off into the city. You lose." as what I heard from other gamers ( liars!!! ). Plenty of time for sniping to clear the topdeck.

but the problem is that World of WarCraft comes out tomorrow and that will kill Helo 2 time

w00t, just finished Halo 2 Legendary today, ( a good break to take after completing JLPT 4 Razz

). Enjoyable, though unlike most of the feedback so far, I was okay with the ending.

The Ark is on Earth *hiaks* So from the beginning to the end to the beginning again...

My roommate is getting halo 2 for his xbox. After he plays and beats it, he is going to try and sell it before x box 2 comes out next year or so.

I like the halo story, and i have read the books.

As for the sarge being invincible, it is because of the flood infection from Halo. He is incompatible with their 'mind control' (too many plasma grenades effected his nerves) but he retained all their regenerative properties.

So, the lesson of the story is.....

Rule Number 1. Don't get infected by Aliens.

Rule Number 2. If you do get infected by Aliens, make sure you are some how immune to their evil side effects but can take full advantage of all positive effects.

Rule Number 3. If you do get infected, and you aren't immune, then be a man and put up a fight like Keyes.

Rule Number 4. If you are infected, you aren't immune, and you aren't a man, then go out and make sure you murder as many people as possible so you can advance through the ranks and become more than just another mindless minion.

Rule Number 5. If you do end up as a mindless minion, then only go after grunts and marines who are not 7+ ft tall and wear greenish armor.

Rule Number 6. If you do go up against a Spartan, then try to be like the sarge and pretend you are human so he will lower his defenses. Then you can run like crazy (yeah, like you could kill the MC)

Halo 2 is a fun game to play with friends. Some people say that the story is too short, but I think it's all right.

Well first of all the game is short because there will be more halo's in the ending you'll see what i mean Razz

And halo2 was mostly directed to online game-play thats another reason why its short to, and if you cant afford Xbox Live download neXBC can be downloaded from www.xbconnect.com i think pm if wrong Razz

it tricks your xbox to think that is you are lanning between other xboxes so you can play online for free Very Happy

And your xbox wont get blacklisted from live either if you use this
