They'll get round to it eventually, I'm sure...
In other news, Alice is kickass. Apparently. |

the lies upon lies and deceit everywhere...
they sure paint a pretty picture of how an army is...
but i bet reality is much more glooomy.. they don't have a huge guy with a kickass hand cannon or a female with an uber cool slasher.. _________________

Ha ha ha! Episode 18 is just so silly it's brilliant! I couldn't keep a straight face through the ED. And the one man machine joke was so wrong it was hilarious, especially with the sauce bottle visual gag at the end.
I don't think there's anything about this show that couldn't be improved drastically, but I still can't help myself from loving it. Even if the climax to the series is terrible, I won't really mind, because I've been thoroughly entertained by Pumpkin Scissors up to this point. |

Alice is defo kickass especially how she handles that....what ever is it called? It was pretty niffty the use of steal boots, that move was cool.
Hope the final arc kicks in now. So many question and they just gave us an episode that was so funny. I guess things are going to get rather serious from here on end. |

so they still managed to put in a filler episode...
good job...
now for a more serious tone.. i think that is what is being perceived since its only a 24-26 eps series right??? _________________

Ep 19:
Schultz is my hero!
He may not be all there but he has his heart in the right place.
Love the bits of the 3 sisters together. Too bad we don't have more of theose scenes.

| Speaking of the 3 sisters. Maybe I missed this part, but why is that they need Alice to get married? Is Alice supposed to be the oldest? She seems younger then the other 2. So why aren't the other 2 sisters looking for husbands? Alice obviously isn't thrilled about making a match, even if she is going forward with it. Why don't they step up and do their duty for the family? |

I believe the other two sisters are married. The conversation where they're entering the ballroom is a bit confusing but it seems to say that they married but were allowed to keep their names.
As for why they want Alice to marry, I believe it's simply because it's "the thing to do." That's what's proper. If there's any other motive, I haven't seen it. |

There are 3 sisters of which Alice is the youngest. However they are all together 4 siblings; 3 sisters and 1 brother. The brother is the youngest of the lot.
The two older sisters have are married but have kept their family name since they are from one of the greater houses. Alice is currently the heir to their noble house. When Alice marriage was arranged (I assumed it was before the brother was born), it was basically to ensure that the family name did not die out and along with it one of the greater noble house.
However with the birth of the younger brother, it is likley then once he grows up, he will instead be the heir to the house and not Alice anymore.
Hence from what I can see the need to marry Alice off now is more for the family / house then it is for herself. Think if it was just for herself, she would probably be able to wiggle her way out of it but Alice so far has been pretty much reliable when it comes to doing what she considers her duty.
Ep 20
Don't you just love the ending, how the challenge was delivered?
Can't wait for the next episode. |

Is it just me or does four whole episodes (plus at least one more, by the looks of things) set in one location seem a little... excessive? Especially as the series is rapidly coming to its conclusion and there seems to be so much that hasn't been explored.
Not that I'm complaining really. The episodes themselves were good and an abundance of unresolved issues would mean the likelihood of a second season is greater. |

Yes and No to that.
Yes when looked at how many episodes left before the sereis ends.
No when looked at the development it has given to the characters involved. |

I don't have a problem with the character development, it's just I had the feeling that the same development could have been done in half the time. Of course, I don't really know where the story is going from here on, but it seems to me like four episodes have been taken up with little more than character development. The story hardly seems to have progressed in that time.
Meh, that's hardly enough to dent my affection for this series, though.
Anyone know if this has been a particularly popular series in Japan? I'm wondering what the chances of a second series are (and hoping for a bigger budget and more love lavished on it if there is going to be one). |

There's only one episode left now
Ep23
The duel was done very well but my favourite scene had to be the one with Mer-kun leaping into action at the end.
