Anime Source Synopsis and Reviews
One of the most anticipated anime series this fall and NOBODY made a topic on this yet??? For shame! Anyways, I wasn't a big fan of the original Kanon, but KyoAni has worked miracles before. So I'll be taking a look at the new Kanon. Anyways, here's some first impressions off the RAW:
1) Animation is beautiful. Yuuichi himself is not a pain to look at anymore.
2) On the minus side, he sounds EXACTLY like Kyon.
3) Looks like they were able to get most of the original cast. I recognized Yui Horie and Tomokazu Seki. Unfortunately, the damn "Uguuuu" is here to stay...
4) Mai is the coolest one in the show, hands down.
Not a bad first episode. Actually, it's pretty much the same as the original Kanon. Still, Yuuichi isn't dreadful to look at anymore, so a positive outlook all around. Let's hope they round out the story a little more (they have 24 episodes to do so...). |

| didnt realise it was going to be 24 eps long. Havnt seen the first ep yet but i think they did a good job first time round. Honestly didnt see the need to remake it but it should be good all the same |

| The first season was alright, but i think they pretty much covered everything already, i certainly don't see how it's gonna be 24 episodes, i guess they'll probably touch more on the other characters, oh well, hopefully they can at least make it as good as air |

I'm still a litte pissed that Kyoto Animation killed Haruhi for this.
Well, at least the new Yuuichi is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Kyon, Mayama) |

i have very very high expectations for this anime.. seeing as how they dumped MOHS for it...
i will not go easy on this anime if ever they fall below par of the greatness of MOHS... _________________

When you guys say 'killed' and 'dumped' do you mean there's not going to be a follow up to MoHS, or just that the follow up has been put back because they decided to focus on Kanon as their release for this season?
I sincerely hope they are going to do MoHS season 2. I might just stop watching anime if they don't... |

Kitsune : They are usually done in 2 or 3 days after the raw is released.
Melancoholic : Currently no news of Kyoto going to do a sequel for Haruhi, there was a trailer which suggest season 2 but it's just a fake. We can only pray and hope, if the fans make a ruckus about it, maybe a miracle would happen
Back to Kanon 2006, animation is beautiful as expected from the same studio that did AIR and Haruhi. Storywise, nothing special yet but i hope it isn't just a complete remake. |

mela>> from what i gather.. they short ended MOHS to get the staff to do Kanon..
as for Kanon.. the first one was kinda bleh.. a so-so storyline and not so good animation... and if they are just gonna make a remake of it.. i don't see the point in that since the story ain't that great anyways.. _________________

The previous Kanon is pretty much ended and if you would to ask me the animation isn't really bad either. The story was a little sad and quite nice during that time. However with so much anime releasing lately, a remake of Kanon ain't gonna help. It'll just a waste of budget if you ask me unless they change the story a little rather then following 100% then perhaps it worth watch a little.
Well downloading the first ep ^^ _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b] |

| I thought this ep was pretty good. Mysteries abounding already. The animation and character designs were really nice as well. I haven't seen the original, but this anime is already screaming 'Shuffle!' at me. I wasn't a big fan of Shuffle!, but I have to admit, the twists and turns towards the end kept me hooked. Maybe this one will be the same. |

which these two are good fansubs?.....a.f.k. or Eclipse & Static-Subs? _________________ "HITSUZEN-A naturally foreordained event.

Both a.f.k and Static-Subs/Eclipse put out good releases. a.f.k. is more recently known for subbing The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. They've also done Princess Tutu and Full Moon wo Sagashite if you want to take a look at more of their past releases (not to mention they are pretty good animes). I don't know many releases from Eclipse/Static besides Shakugan no Shana. Those were great releases nonetheless.
I say just take what comes first from those two groups.
By the way, I downloaded both releases and they're both pretty sweet. |

I'm new to Kanon, and I have to say the way KyoAni made the first episode was great. It certainly gave me an urge to rewatch the episode again. I also like how they started off the anime in winter time.
Of course, the artwork was pretty good, but so far I can only say that I'll be following this series for these factors because story-wise, having one episode in my mind doesn't help much in judgement on that criteria.
Love the OP and ED, though. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

Just finish watching the a.f.k release a min ago... however I felt something is lacking in their work though i cant pinpoint out the weakness. Perhaps is just my over sensitive attitude... hmmm... Eclipse release FSN before if not mistaken isnt it?
Well i suppose I'll be taking a.f.k since Haruhism were made very well by them.
On the other side of the story, it looks like many doesn't watch Kanon which I'm glad to hear that. For someone who have been a Kanon fan for years, Kanon 2006 isn't really gonna attract me much since story wise I'm good enough to write a novel out of it. However is nice to see the revival of my most favorite character then and the amazing scenery Kanon could offer. As an AIR fan as well how could i miss out this one eh?
Well the previous Kanon is just 13 ep but this remake is 26 ep so I'm sure there'll be additional addons so personally I'm really looking forward to it. _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b] |
