Anyways, although a little corny, a well enough ending to conclude what was a great series.
Same here. A cathartic ending, somewhat predictable/Deus Ex Machina. but I guess its ok. There were already plenty of punches in the previous episodes. Overall a solid series. not excellent, but pretty good. _________________

In the end, the miracles just keep on pilin up. Just like I wanted really, I don't much like sad endings... I don't hate 'em, but I'd take a corny happy ending over most anytime of the week. It was a good ride though, I really enjoyed this show.
Now I have to find something to replace it... That's gonna suck. _________________ Running from your problems only wastes time... They always catch up either way.
Mmm I think they should have stopped at episode 23 it might have been abit sad and everything but it would have left a more lasting effect to it. Also I'm a sucker for sad endings since not everything end up happy also make things a little more uniqe then the whole happy ever after ending that most series have.
Well, I certainly didn't expect an overtly sad ending because we should be catching the hints KyoAni threw us.
Makoto: Disappeared, but was shown for a few seconds on the hilltop in this episode.
Mai: Stabbed herself, but continued to live because she believed in her Hope.
Shiori: Contracted a terminal disease, but is cured miraculously.
Nayuki: Come on, you know she will probably forgive Yuuichi anyway.
Ayu: Anyone who played the game would know.
No deaths, nothing overly sad, but some scenes were extremely touching, like
The Shiori one, where we finally get to see how she's really been feeling and the effect Yuuichi has on her (rather the time spent with her). Her crying spoke volumes about how she really felt underneath that strong front she put up just so not to let her sister or Yuuichi worry more.
It was nice to see all the other girls helping out Yuuichi by aiding Ayu in various things, and also equally great to see Mishio finally interacting with other people. That shows exactly how Yuuichi had changed her as well.
Oh yeah, did anyone call for Nagato Yuki? She was certainly there, just with long blue hair and blue eyes. I don't know about anyone else, but Kawasumi Mai has certainly upped the moe factor by tenfold in the series itself, notwithstanding the graduation kimono, her mannerisms and eventually even helping to prod Yuuichi in the right direction. Favorite character, hands down. <3<3
The Ayu's ending was a little confusing, though I got the gist of what has been going on. It's still hard to explain, though, and I will be glad for any kind of explanation.
*Wants the Xmas floor version of Last Regrets* >.<
It's been a great ride, KyoAni, Key and Kanon 2006. Many thanks to the fansubbing teams, and I'll be looking forward to CLANNAD as yet another first timer too.

Well, I really enjoyed the series. I did find the ending to be rather confusing though. Like we just saw the highlights, but missed the background to give it depth. Even still, confusing or no, I liked the ending. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Yeah, a good overall series, that peaked a little early with the Mai story but still remained strong despite that. I actually found Makoto's story to be the most affecting, but that was for personal reasons. After that I'd have to go with Sayuri's, after all it had the only actual death in the entire series. I still think Kanon was one of the strongest series of the last season. I'll be impressed if CLANNAD tops this. Though, I'd much rather be watching Haruhi...
Haruhi can wait, definitely. The longer the wait, the sweeter the reward. Besides, having already showed the trailer for CLANNAD, I'm piqued. Looks to be wackily interesting. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]

Just done watching Kanon 2006 last night. But a few things confused me.
1.
What was the wish ayu made? At the moment that she made her final third wish you hear the wind and not hear what she said. And after that she was gone. Or was the last wish actually what Shiori said during last episode?
2.
She is who's sister? I know she is the girl Yuuichi looked up to as a child and told the story to Makoto when he was playing with her when she was a fox. So uuh who is Sawatari? i thought the only girl that went by that name was Makoto. But she is gone and err she was the fox Yuuichi saved.

Just seeing that makes me chuckle. Its so awesome and so cute haha _________________ [IMG:430:120:e3eaef3cc8]http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s100/Sephi2K7/Signature/Yurisigv1b.jpg[/img:e3eaef3cc8]

I have the answers to your question... I think.
1.
I believe her last wish was for Yuuichi to forget about her. I'm not totally sure. I remember that being her wish, and her saying that, although Yuuichi refused.
2.
The small Sawatari Makoto was the fox. The same fox that Yuuichi left behind 7 years ago. And the same fox that Yuuichi told that he had loved a girl by the name of Sawatari Makoto. Apparently, after the fox was left behind, she felt jealous about the real Sawatari Makoto, and when the fox became a human, she remembered that name, and incidentally, named herself that. Mhm. That's what I think happened.
And, there's one more thing I want to say. I love Ayu. So much. she's just so cute. Everything about her. ESPECIALLY SPINNING AROUND TRYING TO FIND THE WINGS ON YOUR BACKPACK. TT_TT When I saw her story, I cried nonstop.

probably way too old but still, since i just finished watching this series..
1.
The wish wasn't that yuuichi forget about her, since that one was denied and she ended up making another one. It was never clearified in the show but was hinted at by Shiori as a wish that the person dearest to her would smile on forever. Naturally that would require the people around him to be happy too so hence the massive amounts of miracles and super fast healing of everyone around yuuichi.
2.
you're pretty much right there, that whole sister part didn't make much sense to me either. The reason she took up that name was because that was the name of the girl yuuichi had liked when he was taking care of the fox, so she wanted that name in a way hoping for the same affection. She wasn't jealous or at least it wasn't shown. But yeah, here's a bunch of info on makoto the fox, not much on the real one though..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makoto_Sawatari
