My ability to easily be entertained and have a high tolerance for things must be why the Uguu's and the Auu's don't bother me at all. I actually like them, and I couldn't really imagine those characters not doing that. I'm sure it could be done less, but I don't mind it at all. It's still just a cute little thing to me.
Yuuichi is by far my favorite Harem male lead ever. He's not an idiot, he's not a complete pervert/misunderstood pervert who has no idea how to handle any situation that involves females, and he's probably one of the only leads I've seen like that. I don't think he's as condescending towards others as it seems, it really does just seem like that's his nature. Better yet, it leads to comedy which I didn't even think I'd see in this show. I didn't really watch the origional show, I decided against it... And I think that was actually a good idea, since I have no idea what's going to happen durring the course of this show.
I really like it so far, I think it's great. And I think I might be the only person that doesn't seem to like Mai alot... I'm not really a fan of the silent and serious types. _________________ Running from your problems only wastes time... They always catch up either way.

I'm with you, I don't mind the "Uguu's" or "Auu's" really. Though neither one of them is as cute as "Gao." Mia's pretty cool but she's not really my favorite either. I don't really know who I would call my favorite, they all have their good and bad points. Also I don't know if I would call Kanon a harem...this is no romance comedy, or at least it won't stay that way much longer. Anyways, time to watch episode 9.
P.S. Awesome avatar...go Harima!! Flag faction forever!!!!!

I think I like Ayu the best, mostly because of the Scary Movie scene. Also because she's the best to tease.
I don't know much about this show aside from what I've watched so far. It may not be a romance comedy, but of course comedy does exist in some parts. Alot more then I thought it would, since I came in expecting little to none and got pleasantly surprised at a few parts. I like the light mood so far, but I agree... It's probably not gonna last that much longer. I'm prepared for it though. I wasn't prepared for Shuffles! transition at all and it caught me a bit off my guard.
P.S. Harima > Caek > Life
I think that's the proper order of things. _________________ Running from your problems only wastes time... They always catch up either way.
Well, episode 9 was quite the emotional one...
Makoto's degradation becomes more obvious now, as compared to the previous few episodes.Yuuichi realises that after talking with Mishio, but is unable to get to her. We see him spending some time with Makoto, and eventually Makoto is struck with a high fever, making her degrade to the point where she can put together only simple sentences. The last part of the episode has her wanting to marry Yuuichi to stay with him forever.
Since I can't put in all the details, that was as much as it needed to stir quite a few emotions in me even though I was prepared for an emotional episode. Get ready your boxes of tissues, ladies and gentlemen, for the next two episodes.... _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]

I agree with your statement about Yuuichi being a good harem male lead. We need more of harem male lead acting less idiotic and somewhat more mature.
Now for episode 10, and since it's subbed out, I won't hold back too much.
The end of the Makoto arc, and what a interesting way to end it. It felt as though I was reading the end and epilogue chapter of a novel of a story by itself.
Of course, the tear-jerking parts almost caught me tearing again. You can sense the mild but mounting desperation that Yuuichi was trying to keep Makoto in her human form, to keep her with him and them (Akiko and Nayuki) forever as a family, going as far as to skip school, enlist Mishio's aid and suggesting a family outing altogether. I really respect and sympathise with him in this aspect. Here he's trying to put on a damned brave front, and any lesser man would probably have openly weeped when Makoto actually finally 'disappeared' from him.
I have to commend Key and KyoAni on this. The accompaniment of the music along with the mood of whatever that's going on was excellent, and we couldn't have asked for a better seiyuu than Tomokazu Sugita for Yuuichi?
Anyway, episode 11 previews show plenty of Mai. Looks like her arc's beginning and I can't wait. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
I was never much of a Makoto fan,
but I did feel kind of sad that she vanished. That was pretty damn well done. props to the makers, they did a great job with ths one, to my eyes Kanon keeps getting better and better. It is pretty easy to sympathize with poor Yuuichi's plight to keep Makoto happy until the end. Once again, all I can say is: Good job. By the way, I liked the Amano girl a lot (forgot her first name, though ).
So, Mai, next time? Sounds good to me. I was wondering about that whole "hunting demons" thing anyway. _________________
I must be very insensitive during the events in eps 10. It nice and all but I didn't feel as emotional as I wanted to. Must be because I watched the original kanon.
I didn't really like Makoto at the first place, but it was sad when she disappeared. Although I pitied Yuuichi more . He was so desperate to keep Makoto from disappearing.. (he must've played with the bell with makoto for hours o_O; )

Damn I cried a lot while watching ep 10. I was in my room with door locked and blowing my nose. It's not something I want to watch with other people, because I'll be just too self conscious about holding off the tears to properly enjoy the anime. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img]
While it seemed as though Yuuichi, Nayuki and Akiko recovered miraculously from Makoto's departure, it can be attributed to the mental strength of Yuuichi himself. Besides, Nayuki's statement for having Ayu over made sense on the whole. It's not going to help anyone by staying sad and depressed all the time.
Another thing that might act as a premonition for things to come (I haven't played the game, so I don't really know) is how Ayu forgot that her parents were on vacation as well as the lack of knowledge about Ayu on Yuuichi's part. I have a feeling it will come into play later for her arc.
Thumbs up for the change in the mood of the anime. Not everything is about Makoto and the depression that comes in the aftermath of her absence and going by arcs, it would be downright silly to harp on about the sudden change in the mood.
Yuuichi is entertaining as usual together with partners Nayuki, Ayu and Mai. The exchange between him and the former seemed normal but hilarious in a way, probably thanks to their expressions. As a Mai fanboy myself, the 'Banzai!' part was of course another funnier and cuter (insert biaseness here) segment of the show. Ayu, of course, at the brunt of Yuuichi's jokes and an excellent dance partner with Yuuichi. Too bad he can't take her to the dance as well. Imagine what a hit they will be on the floor!
Watching back to the episode where Yuuichi first meets Mai at school in the night, the demons are actually not something that are only imagined by Mai. I recall Yuuichi getting roughly shoved/hit aside by some invisible force before Mai followed up from behind. While Yuuichi might not be able to see, there is something in the corridor that appeared which we viewers are able to discern, and I'm pretty sure they might do something to mess up the dance somehow, with Mai taking more blame from the student council president.
In conclusion, I guess one thing's inherent after watching the preview and the episode itself: "The way to a Mai's heart is through her stomach." [This is a terrible joke, btw ) In any case, I'll be waiting eagerly for episode 12 for more Mai goodness and a good storyline for her arc as well. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]

Well, I'm guessing that Ayu's mysteries are going to contribute a lot to her arc later on in the series. It's those subtle hints we've been given for Makoto to show her degeneration, so it might be the same for Ayu as well.
Nia...Who cares. I'm just eager for more Mai. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
