i just started watching black lagoon season 2, and i nearly cried watching the twins die.
okay those twins were some really messed up people if u can call them ppl. dunno y it made u sad but i was kinda rooting for it
i know what u mean, these twins are the first time ive felt sorry for evil children but i guess its cause at the end, they were only children afterall.
watching the boy die infront of balalaika and then the girl at the end, kinda tore something in my heart and im sure it wasnt a vessel.
i guess its just, i feel really sad and want to cry when either children or women are killed in animes. i dont know why. _________________ [img:567:138:151453bb6b]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/wahagifsda.gif[/img:151453bb6b]

i guess on that basis i can understand, women and children getting hurt just seems kinda wrong. but then again y is it that guys are expected to get hurt?
anyway i'm getting away from the point, lessee........ well i don't have another anime to cry or feel excited over, sigh its more like emotional over my lack of not finding any anime to feel excited over, its like the whole world seems so boring now that i cant get any new anime to watch _________________ ALL HAIL LELOUCH
for me it is definitely Naruto ...
Episode 80, including the music
It shows flashbacks of naruto and gaara, both very much the same in their childhood, shunned by all and lonely...
Then during Hokage's funeral (same episode)
the thing that made it the best is the bgm...Loneliness during the lonely part and Sadness and Sorrow during the mourning

Yeah I know what you mean, I don't even watch those particular anymore cuz the music is powerfully sad and it makes me all teary eyed
yeah i know its been said to death already, but i just finished Air after a long break from watching any shows. I normally dont cry but like others, i couldnt read the subs because my eyes were so watery ;_;. such a good series though.
also Fushigi Yuugi made me tear up a couple times, but nothing like air. _________________ [IMG:300:90:9f9cae2eba]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/XxsmashmasterxX/GirlFacepng2.png[/img:9f9cae2eba]

I know this sounds stupid, but Hikaru no Go.
It's not the most emotional or profound anime I've ever watched, plenty were far more intense and tear-jerking, but for some reason this anime really got to me.
I'll have to agree that Air was pretty sad, but it ddin't move me as much as some.
No it is more sad than ya imagin
Its...she was talking and her mom was crying and..
and...when...the she was going to die they sang a song...a sad song
i couldnt bear hearing her mom shouting crying screaming and the song was on
Those tears didnt made me see anything..
i stopped from watching it
and until now i dont know what was the ending?!
too bad.
I agreed with you that it was sad, it just didn't personally move me emotionally as much as some scenes in other animes have. Something that's philosophically profound as well as sad tends to move me a lot more than something that's just completely heartbreaking.
Take Hoshi no Koe for example like Diversro mentioned, that's also on my list. That ending wasn't nearly as sad as Air's ending was, but because of how Hoshi no Koe questions the very basis of love and how it transcends time and space... That if you love someone, where they are, when they are or even if they exist at all doesn't matter anymore, it will never change the fact that they are loved and that bond will never break no matter what happens... because of the profound realization that brought to me... I was moved to tears far more than I was with Air, although I know for sure not everyone will feel the same way. It all depends on how well you can relate to the story.
And I'll never forget the one line in Fullmetal Alchemist that still makes tears well up in my eyes every time I even think about it. At the end of episode 25, Roy Mustang, on a bright sunny day, pulls his cap down and with his back to Riza Hawkeye says to her, "It's raining pretty hard, isn't it?" Now THAT made me cry.
Now seriously, you wanna cry? Head to http://narcissu.insani.org/ and download the visual novel Narcissu. If you don't cry reading through this, you're probably one of the most insensitive people on the planet. Takes a coulple of hours to get through at least, depending on how quickly you read and if you prefer to go at a pace suited to the atmosphere. On the front page, on the top banner, feel free to click on and read "Section 01: Story" and "Section 02: Characters", but don't read "Section 03: World" and "Section 04: Medical" or you'll totally spoil the story for yourself.
"Section 05: Downloads" has the install exe. You'll most likely want the 'English Win32 Binary', which is for Windows. If you're running another kind of OS, you'll likely know what you're doing well enough to figure out which to choose. While I'm 100% sure it's safe and virus/mal-ware free, feel free to virusscan it anyways just to be sure. 'tis always good practice before running any kind of .exe you download off the internet.
I stumbled across this a couple years ago, read it in a single sitting one evening and it left me emotionally devestated for the next 3 days. You can save it at any time throughout and use the mousewheel to scroll back up if you went too quickly, but you can't re-listen to any voices or other sound effects you may have skipped. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did if you decide to DL it.

Well I can't remember a few of them.. but Elfen Lied made me emotional for some odd reason. Or in certain mangas when there is a badass fight i'm all like awsome and do a couple punchs in the air lol.

i didnt mean that this is the only anime that made me sad
i get sometimes sad about other animes, novels, drama's,short stories and manga's
but i meant that the most sadest moment in my life is when i watched Air
and FMA is sad too.
dont get me wrong. _________________ "Blogger"

Yes Chrno Crusade made me sad for the rest of the day as well, I kept thinking about it and how they should have deserved more than that, but thats the way it is. Its still one of my fave animes of all time.
well in a way u can think of that as a grace from God cause they didn't have to experience the hellish years that came after their deaths
as for my new anime that made me feel anything other than downright laughter was This Ugly and Beautiful World for many reasons. One of them was that the main character's transformed self didn't look all that impressive to me. Another thing was that they two guys didn't end up with their loves cause they flew up somewhere in the cosmos _________________ ALL HAIL LELOUCH

Actually as surprised as I was, as I am watching Gundam Seed almost every episode makes me a little emotional at times. Its very intense, and the characters struggles just seem very real to me. I like it very much. I even shed a tear or two when things get really crazy. _________________ Miku Miku!!
