NEGIMA!? OVA? REmake?

the first season kinda...left the viewers in a Cliffhanger due to teh Sudden end that shocked all/most the fans. Let's hope the S2 will have some improvements throughout the 2nd season of the series.

EP. 1 has already been subbed by [Mahora] and I'm currently DLing it.
So I can't give any somments at the moment.

Is it a 2nd season? If not mistaken it is a remake from the 1st season. The new Negima? is a remake from the previous Negima is what I heard... anyone want to clarify this?

I was hoping there would be an improvement in the remake but after watching the first episode, i was clearly mistaken...

- The characters are now damn ugly, Ken Akamatsu can drawn better than this even while he's sleeping.

- Characters voices sound like they were done by amateurs, why the hell would Nagi have a woman's voice? If i didn't read the credit, i would never thought that they were the same cast who did the original version.

- The script is lame and childish, they totally killed the characters. One thing i like about the original is that every student has a unique personality which i fail to see in the remake.

- I don't mind a different storyline but a poor intro like this? If i had never heard of the original version, i wouldn't waste my time finishing the episode.

- And most importantly, NO ECCHI SCENES!?!?!?!?

In conclusion, the remake is a disgrace to Ken Akamatsu. Negima!? goes straight into Recycle Bin.

oh no, I was excited about this until I saw what Lucifer wrote. I respect what he writes and I value his opinion since I know that he knows his anime. I'll prolly check it out just cause I'm insanely curious, but now I know not to expect anything. And for the record, I loved the first season

IIRC, the way the new seasons are coming out will be
- Oringal: the one we've already seen
- The one starting now: a remake of the original
- Next one: sequel to the remake

and no ecchi??? family-friendly???? ~ ~ ~ sigh ~ ~ ~

They revived the anime only to kill it again. They hate manga fans. I'll probably watch ep2 for Eva-dono's sake though.

Well still downloading the first ep going to give my judgement after watching it. As far as I concern, the previous Negima only last me 3 episode before I stop completely. So I wouldn't put high hopes in this series either. Just hoping it would be slightly better...

Aargh! Only three episodes of the last series watched? Episodes 23 and 24 make watching the entire series worthwhile all on their own! Okay, 25 and 26 were a bit silly...

I'm a bit confused, though. What is this Haru thing that's been advertised for ages? Is that still happening, or has it been ditched now Negima!? is coming out?

OK... watched the REMAKE of Negima by the new title Negima!? (1st ep)
Well I'm totally speechless... first of all is Ken Akamatsu Sensei doing the character design? Cause the character obviously look different. The animation quality is totally out of the picture...

Seriously I got more headache with this new one rather than the old one. Let me confirm this again, Negima!? IS NOT THE 2ND SEASON~! However, I think the previous negima is much better than this one at least from the 1st ep point of view... though Asuna having 2 colored eyes is an eyeshore... but having to see the awful animation of this new remake.... it makes me feel like watching Negima's original being made into parody ver.

Watched the first ep of the remake and now my eyes are bleeding. What the hell was that!? I can understand them making certain parts of the anime a bit more 'arty', but what was with those colours? That classroom, apart from looking flat as a pancake, was almost impossible to look at without sunglasses on! Orange, yellow, pink and red? What the HELL?

Apart from that, the story's okay, though it felt dumbed down. Things they spent whole arcs developing in the original seemed to have just been ignored, as if they had already been resolved before the first episode even kicks off. That might mean they're going in a completely different direction from the original, but it really begs the question, WHY?

There were bits in this anime I liked. The style suited certain parts (like the backstory at the beginning, as well as Evangeline's scenes) but unfortunately, the bad is far outweighing the good at the moment.
Therefore, I'm going to give this a few more episodes, just in case miracles DO happen. Then I'm going to ditch this artistic abomination and try and bury the whole experience somewhere deep in my subconscious, so it'll only come back to haunt me in my nightmares!
