just watched the tv link...

well the subbing was crap...

i have heard and seen some parts of the game.. but i really don't know the story line...

aside from the cool fight scenes which is pretty much how i expected DMC would go i don't feel as though this has the same tone as the game... or maybe i haven't seen much of the game yet...

based on its own and not with the game the storyline is still a little shady... this looks like a stand alone episode... if they plan on doing this stand alone episodes for the whole series then this is gonna be a boring one after a few eps...

oh well... might give a few light on things once a few more episodes are released...

but so far... this anime seems to be average..

Wow, those subs were garbage. I mean jeeze...
And he should've used his sword more. He better use it more in following eps.
As for the background story for Devil May Cry from the games, all you really need to know is that there once was a demon (sometimes translated as a devil) named Sparda. He rebelled against all the other demons when they were trying to mess with the human world. Sparda then had relations (hehe, relations, now I sound like Turk from Scrubs) with a human woman. Dante is the son of that human woman and Sparda.
I'm a little bit rusty on the story since I haven't played DMC1 or DMC3 in a while, but if I remember correctly, that's basically the gist of it. If I said anything wrong, feel free to correct me.

that's good to know. there is a sub out. i watched it. props for animation quality and the fight scenes but imo the episode didn't flow too well. it jumped from scene to scene.. abruptly i guess. i was wondering what was goin on a third of the time. its like someone saying something but your not sure why they are saying it..
that probably didn't make sense either, but it's worth a watch.

The first ep. was awesome, never played DMC on the PS or any other platforms, although I've heard about it, so this is my first time seeing Dante move, The sword combination with the handgun, which both seems Custom items Very Happy

I thought the first eps was kinda crappy, i mean you dont see half of the acton. All you hear is some thing getting shot, and then it show the smoking gun. Kinda suck. and no sword either. Barely anything at all. No combos, this is a must for DMC. What would DMC be without the combos, and devil trigger? righ? Wink

I rarelly say this, but this show really blows. Seriously i never slack off a show unless it really fails to deliver on every level and DMC does just that.
The animation is too generic, the story is well, what story? it's just Dante shooting up demons, quite unimaginative.
I will give it another try when the 2nd episode comes out but unless it completely changes direction (which is highly unlikely) this show will get deleted from my computer.

Oh, and the little girl sure was annoying.

in any case...

watched second ep... i like the background music.. enough violence and gore to satisfy me but the story was again crap...

"there has been a rumor of a legendary cyclist..." "i want to race the cyclist and avenge my brother..." my god, you have got to be kidding me...

a separate story all together.. so it seems there will be independent episodes for this one.. Confused

bleh... looks like it will be like that with episode three...

. I think the personality of both Dante and Lady are a little bit different from the game.
The story is really boring for now and im not really a fan of the episodic anime...

First episode got a 'meh' from me. Is it just me, or do the directors LOVE the color red? Laughing

What I really didn't like is how they tossed us in like this without too much of an explanation for the demons. The characters were bland, the action scenes were...well, what should be expected for an anime promising action, but it definitely wasn't exceptional. Perhaps one of the rare good things I can think of for DMC currently is the character designs. They were not too bad-not fabulous, but neither were they 'Cabbagey' (for those who have watched Yoake) Very Happy

There's the promise of exploring the characters' past, but so far....Nothing to dispel the skepticism I have here until a solid episode comes in.

unfortunately you are wrong its a 12 episode series and i would've wished for it to be a 26 episode and potential to get a real storyline but apparently its not happening.

yea the 2nd episode sucked u know what and why da hell did he destroy the bridge for?? i didn't see the point i prolly missed something.

this anime would've owned if they would've stuck with some of the DMC:1 or DMC:3 storyline, i mean how could they seriously have trish and LADY!! for crying out loud without having virgil which IS his fricken BADASS twin brother with a KATANA!! ok this series would've owned if they would've stuck with the game's storyline but their obviously not and again it sucks big ones Sad

awesome animation and music tho and yea his sword is being used like guts' sword from berserk wats up with that? he's suppose to be quick not a one hit KO. he's getting no challenge from the demons which i still don't know why their there. ok im going to stop but at least have a decent fight it would've been so badass if he fought with virgil and lost and then he exploded turning into demon form or if they would've animated the last fight of DMC:1 ok im stopping lol

yeah i totally expected more. saw the first two eps and really wish they followed the games storyline. virgil should be in the anime.

Does anyone know the song played on the cd in episode 6? The episode is about a singer who obtains a demonic voice. I think the song used is sung by Paku Romi but I have yet to confirm it. If possible, I'd appreciate it if someone pointed me to the singer and title.

BTW, this anime's mediocore at best; this song alone made me glad I kept watching. Now if I can only find the entire song...
