I wonder about what Mariya really feels for Mizuho .... She's said that they're 'just childhood friends' quite a lot, she gets all horrified when she finds Mizuho in situations she thinks might be compromising, she did that whole pseudo strip-scene in the first ep. ... I do wonder. We haven't seen any serious romantic development sofar, but if it ever does happen, Mariya might be a strong contender.

Episodes 3 and 4:

No big surprises there about Mizuho becoming Elder (Not really big, anyway), perhaps except for Shion's intervention and Mizuho carrying her off to the infirmary. It could serve as a premonition with more serious development with Shion in the later parts.

As for Takako...I'm particularly curious about why she didn't stop Shion from coming up, considering that she's the student council president and beign the tsundere she is, probably wouldn't permit an interruption. In fact, she even gave Shion the chance to voice her opinion. That strikes me with two possibilities:

(1) She simply has wholehearted, genuine respect for Shion, the former Elder.

(2) Shion might be a role model of some sorts for Takako, or maybe more...

Episode 4-Humor abound. Ichiko's performance as a 'motor mouth ghost' in some parts was delightful, and Mariya's expressions on seeing Yukari then Ichiko in bed with Mizuho were priceless. Laughing

Ichiko's Onee-sama sounds VERY familiar, though. Wink

And it should be pretty obvious who she is, too. Of course, not forgetting Takako's reaction on hearing Mizuho talk about ghosts. Razz

As for relationships...It can go several ways, I guess. The more likely pairings should be with Shion or Mariya, though the later developments (up to episode 6) might say otherwise, since so far they've been showing development for Mizuho together with Takako and Ichiko as well.

You know, the big question on my mind vis à vis Otome wa boku right now is: how is Mizuho every going to explain all of this to Kana and Yukari once he's graduated and can go back to dressing as a man? I mean ... how? Those who indulge in reading spoilers probably know Kana's background ... She's so vulnerable! What'll it do to her to find out the truth? Would it be better or worse than Mizuho just disappearing from the younger girls' lives wholesale? Can he even do that and live with himself? Future troubles abound ... At least he can adopt Ichiko and take her to his home so she can haunt it to her heart's content.

True enough... I also got a question regarding this... in future when Mizuho wants to look for a job, but graduating from An All Girl School... what is he gonna write in his resume to apply the job?

The resume's a tough one, though, but I don't really think the anime series would be touching on his future, so we can speculate all we want about that. Wink

The resumé shouldn't be too much of a bother; Mizuho comes from a rich family. They can probably afford some legal runaround so there's no trouble whatsoever - or maybe Mizuho's even registered under his proper name and gender at the school, his identity remaining a secret only from the majority of teachers and the students.

God I love high res subs, still not as great as it can be on my 1650x1050 res screen though. I dunno why they even use the low res versions anymore. Just how old does your computer have to be to not be able to play a 1280x720 res video? Even my old back up comps could easily play those, my laptop and old desktop which are pretty slow in my mind. Maybe my 9 year old P2 PC might have trouble playing them...

What I really want to know is, how come Mizuho has breasts?

At first I assumed that he was just using padding under his uniform, but in episode six when he's trying on bikinis you can clearly see he has them. What's all that about? Did he have surgery before arriving at school? If he did, what else has or hasn't been surgerised (that's my new word! Razz

)?

Or have I just completely missed something about this in a previous episode?
