Of course, he's not a real psychopath yet, he's still got feelings and he still knows what's right and wrong. He just chooses to ignore them in favour of his plan to do away with the Britannian empire. But there are one or two big flaws in his plan. The problem with leading a revolution is that, even if you didn't intend it, you almost automatically become the leader of the new regime should your revolution succeed. It's true that Lelouch may not want to rule right now, but it may be forced upon him in the future, regardless.
Another point is that, while he only intends to create a world in which Nanali can be happy at the moment, if Nanali ever finds out about him and the things he's done (which is pretty much inevitable) she's going to be devastated anyway. Can she forgive him for murder, can she accept what he is doing in her name? I wouldn't have thought so. Which means Lelouch is going to undergo some pretty drastic motive changes in the future.
Well, it is pretty obvious that Lelouch is going to end up as leader of whatever he gets out of britannia. Maybe he'll choose not to stay there, but the fact that he's gonna end up with lots of power if he wins is undeniable.
And yeah, lelouch is going to have to change in the future... It'd be interesting to see how that goes. _________________
I assume no one has seen episode 6 yet? It was pretty hilarious, and a sweet deviation from all that serious stuff...At least, for most of the episode. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]

Yup... thats exactly what I mean, when you start a revolutionary you'll automatically become the leader of whichever world you created after the success. Though I can't give a defination of what the "Success" gonna be. Distructions of Britannia? There's only Area 11, what about the other sector of the earth. Britannia is pretty much to big guy like Bush, and even if somehow Area 11 would to archieve independant though i wonder if this is what they're fighting for... I doubt you can create a democratic country with that.
What I can say is that this war Lelouch gonna start is pretty much futile and I'm glad he is much more towards "Negotiation" style rather than terrorizing the cities with explosions. (At least it looks like "Negotiation" on the surface...) However in the end, I still think Suzaku style of changing the country from within the empire is a better one though the chances is too thin that you can't see with your eyes.
Bah... who wants a politics which ends up with only talking in anime? Gundam Seed should show us that politic talks in the end is useless... what makes things moving is giant moving tin can with explosives. Then again... the result won't be favourism to any one... buahahahaha~!!!
Like I care! Is anime (After all...) So TWIST THE FREAKING STORY PLOT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND HOW OUTTA THE WORLD IT CAN BE AND THAT WILL BE MORE ENTERTAINING I WILL BE~! Buahahah~!!! Destroy!!! Kill~!!! Go Lelouch~!! _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b]

Woah! The famous "can of whoopass", right?
I really think that Suzaku's method is naive too. he does stand some chance of achieving stuff on his own, but more often than not the system is so big that it is impossible to change or, worse, it assimilates one into itself. Let's see how Suzaku does, but given britannia's ruthlessness, I'd say "screw the institutions" and join Lelouch's cans.
We'll have to see how far Lelouch gets with his plans. personaally, I'd be more than happy with just freeing Area 11 and making sure that Britannia won't come back. Which is quite a difficult tast, but maybe easier than overthrowing the entire britannian empire. After all it has at least other 10 areas under control. _________________

I would think that Lelouch's and the rebels' objectives are really two different things. The way I see it now, Lelouch is merely seeing the resistance as a means to an end, nothing more. What he wants is the destruction of Britannia. What the Japanese resistance wants is their rightful independence.
However, with an independent Japan, Lelouch's plans are just about ready for the beginning of the end of the Britannia Empire. Other Areas would adopt a "If Area 11/Japan can do it, why can't we?" approach, and similarly uprisings in various Areas would occur. It's a dangerous chain effect, one that Britannia cannot afford to overlook, especially with someone as dangerous as Lelouch.

That's right. That's what he implied in episode 4 when he talked to the rebels. It would be more of 'subterfuge' for me, though. I don't think his flashy appearance went down well with the Pure-blooded faction in Britannia...Definitely not with someone in episode 5.

One thing to say to that: Suzaku has the correct mindset, but he has currently neither the support nor the resources to do so by himself. What can a Private do to change the entire governmental structure, and a Japanese at that? It remains to be seen, though, whether he will get some help in the future.

Episode 5 is subbed! thanks to Pizza H... err... gg Fansubs!
I was pretty glad to see that C.C. Isn't your tyipical "girly" girl, being rather opinionated and strong-willed. I thought she'd have her own agenda (and she might still have it), but for the moment it looks like she will be allied to Lelouch, probably for good. Now poor Jeremiah, on the other hand... well, all I cans say is that it sucks to be him. Villetta backs him up, but... that's about it. Anyway, if he gets out of this pinch, Suzaku could have a new friend.
Another couple of new characters, Euphemia and Cornelia come by. the more "princess-like" and gentle Euphemia is a rather nice complement to Suzaku, while Cornelia brings about the trademark violence of Britania. In this episode it is nce to see where Suzaku is standing. I must admit it: I think he's being overly naive. The Lancelot and Euphemia gives him tons of leverage, true, but I think that if Clovis oredered the destruction of Shinjuku and there was nobody/noting to say "well, you can't do that", then something way too serious is going on with the empire. Once again, I find myself more on Lelouch's side. His methods are not pretty, but the alternative is innefective.
It was also nice to get more info on the Geass itself. Lelouch is becoming more adept at using his "only" weapon, but C.C. seems to hint that there could be more in store for him. He'll have to be VERY careful if he wants to win, though. The Geass in the end might not be enough. And that is where his wit comes in.
Oh, and KarenxLelouch misunderstandings FTW!!!! (I'm a Karen fan) _________________

Now everyone talk politics here... for one I'm glad that:
C.C is the girl she is and having her by Lelouch side makes both of them the perfect couple of the anime. With Lelouch attitude like that, C.C is just perfect to control him. Oh an C.C white underwear does catch my eyes... come to think of it, C.C is really attractive with her long straighten green hair and attitude. I start to like C.C.
Every hero just got to get a girl right? Seeing the situation Euphemia just got herself a loyal servant or rather bodyguard? (Perhaps even Lover) Seeing how Suzaku guard her with his Lancelot body. I smell romance in depth of choas war... (Yay~!! Revival of Athrun and Kira~!!)
Remember Lelouch mention that with Geass it only speed up his ambition. In other words that psycho have confidence that he can make a change even without it in the very begining. Even C.C does hint that future seems tough, but seeing Lelouch as who he is... He shouldn't be off much problem. For now we still know nothing bout C.C accept that she survive the head shot which is sure kill on any living being. Whether if she could be a helpful ally to Lelouch is still under debate.
Seems like more and more character starts to introduce, this anime better be a 26ep or it wont just be enough.
With Gainax's staff doing the story script I wonder if the romance gonna progress or leave hanging? Well Clamp on does the character design too bad not the story plot. Well like I care, since this anime isn't meant for kids... why fan service so little???
Karen start to loose her charm IMO... now we got quite some girls lining up:
Karen, C.C, Alice,(Potential King Lelouch's Queen Wannabe)
Euphemia, Professor Megane's Assitant, Cornelia.
Wow Harem... ^^
Someone start Code Geas Beauty Contest~!!

I thought Cornelia was pretty hot...Except for the fact that she's a little too extreme when it comes to hunting down insurgents. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
I think the series is likely to go 26 episodes at least, although maybe it will be 50. 13 would be too rushed and abrupt an ending. I like the pacing for now and moving afaster may end up rushing things without need. It also doesn't look like over 1/3rd of the series is already done.
I really hope the romance gets solved. I think that there is too much potential to just be left hanging. Besides, Shirley's misunderstanding of Lelouch and Karen should lead somewhere, I think. I think that it doesn't quite cut it as comic relief (although it IS funny). Maybe they'll develop it as the series progresses.

I thought so too. CLAMP really did a good job an this one. _________________
I think it's going to be a short series. Maybe 13 to 18 eps unless they're gonna keep going after his identity has revealed. Ending theme for short series animes tends to not have much animation during the credits. Anyway, that's just my hunch...
