Plot Summary: Takuma Hirose, a blind young male high school student, though the cause for his blindness is undetermined. After his mother died an unexpected death, it left a deep emotional scar on him, which caused him to become very lonely and reserved. Due to this, Takuma and his father move from the city out into a rural area and Takuma is enrolled into a new high school. At his new school, he meets several new girls, though three of whom he gets to know the most out of anyone else. They are, the firm and obstinate Hayami Kohinata, the kind and obliging Hinata Kagura, and the cheerful and mysterious Otoha. As Takuma interacts with these girls, his medical condition gradually begins to heal.

Not sure I really like episode 1. I don't enjoy bullying in any form, and the way they were treating that girl, really bothered me. I'm sure they'll come up with some stupid reason for the way they treat her, but there really isn't any excuse in my mind. I'll keep watching for at least 2 more episodes though.

Creepy horse people LOL.
Its such a nice idyllic outdoors place compare to the Nihon I've seen.
Is it Korean artists, looked like a couple K-production houses?
Thought that the main protagonist was kind of lame, tripping and loosing balance all the time. As far as I've seen Blind people have just as good a sense of spatial awareness and balance as normal.

It seemed pretty interesting to me...I'm looking forward to epi 2... _________________ [IMG:350:100:fd0c78d353]http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/3054/beck3jk.png[/img:fd0c78d353]

What is up with all these lame serious romance dramas coming out? What happened to the good shows like Fate Stay Night? This fall season sucked and Winter doesn't seem to be any better. Total change from Spring of last year.
AH! Well I thought Fate Stay Night was good, at least better than Rental Magica and Night Wizard and the rest of them this season. Certainly better than the serious romance dramas aimed at desperate geeks that would actually watch that shit.
Lagann came out over the summer I think? That series ended in September if I remember right.
As much as I love rebuking some people right now, I was somewhat confused by the pacing of the episode and several things, including
How Hirose came across Otoha, what Otoha is, the possible connection between Hinata and Hirose, the sudden and blatant show of fanservice, the way Hirose received his temporary eyesight.

Ah yes, of course. As far as I know, though, I don't believe ALL blind people always have a good sense of spatial awareness. Instead, what they portraited about Hirose seemed more logical, that he relied more on his other senses to get him around as well as his memory.

I hope you are not referring to Clannad. In any case, certain people are interested in only a few things, while others have the ability to enjoy every kind of show, so nothing much to do here. Do take the discussion about Gurren Lagann (however good it is) and F/S N elsewhere, though.
Back to the thoughts.
While I thought the episode was somewhat confusing, and wasn't all that dynamic, there were a few things that kept me interested, such as Hayami's behaviour as well as her disposition amongst her class....Do middle school students really display that kind of behaviour nowadays?! Not like I totally disbelieve it, since that sort of thing happens here now and then...
In any case, it looks like Hirose might just turn into the glutton for punishment Hayami is if he tries to intervene again (and I know he will, somehow).
I wouldn't say it 'rocked my soul', obviously, but the first episode was at least decent and might just warrant a wait for the second. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
It wasn't anything spectacular but worth the watch I would say. Some parts of the show came out a little bizzare like how he gained his eyesight. Also, I didn't like the idea of guys attacking a girl. That threw me off a bit, especially how nobody seems to even try to help her let alone prevent the assault.

...episode 2 was..."ok"...But what I don't get is...why aren't people surprised that he got his eyesight back? They act like he always had his eye sight...I mean if a crippled person could walk again wouldn't that be big news???? _________________ [IMG:350:100:fd0c78d353]http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/3054/beck3jk.png[/img:fd0c78d353]

Episode 2 proved to be interesting. Considering the myth of the bridge and the flashbacks, I can only assume that somehow 'roach' might actually be very much like what people in the village other than Yui and her cronies think of Hayami, and it most definitely has something to do with the fire. What seems uncertain is how her surname comes into play here, or whether it does or not(She had mentioned she hated that family name in episode 1).
Truly, the fluctuations in the animation quality was glaringly terrible, even for someone who doesn't look too much into that. It's nice, though, to see a somewhat resolute male protagonist in the midst of so many moe characters. The pacing was all right IMO-It didn't get a speeding ticket for itself on plot development, neither was it slow to the point where people should simply stop watching.
Two things that intrigued and irked me:
1) The one that intrigued: Why Hinata's grandfather added a '-sama' suffix to Hirose. I was under the impression that Hirose might actually be related in some way to Hinata's family, either through family relations (not very possible, since his uncle didn't really seem to show any familiarities with Hinata when she visited) or as Skyfall mentioned, a possible arranged marriage. I don't quite think Hirose has any real past with the village itself, though, and that should make for interesting fodder.
-Otoha is another character that mystified me. What exactly is she? Is she the real "Oni", or perhaps a product of some supernatural occurrence? In any case, she's provides the "occult factor" for the show so far.
The one that irked me: The reaction to Hirose's regained sight (duh!). I could understand if it was shown to be a time-skip, but there was absolutely no mention of that, and the only one hint that showed there was a time-skip was Hirose mentioning the doctor's opinion to Otoha, the one who 'gave' him his sight!
Oh well...Nothing to stop me from continuing, so far, so all's good. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97]
