misato didnt kill kaji it was some guy in a suit probably some nerv or government agent.

misato is as responsible for Kaji's death as Shinji is for Toji's death. In the end, she trusted NERV more than she wished for Kaji to remain alive which could only be achieved by helping him. She knew Kaji was in shit when they saw lillith.

Why do so many people think Misato killed Kaji? She was detained by Nerv agents during the time of the kinapping and locked away. There was no way she could have done it. They even let her go after the whole matter was taken care. It also didn't even need to be a core character from the series who did it. Basically, Kaji was a double agent and he knew that he would be killed over this. He was expecting Nerv to come looking for him. So when they eventually found him and he asked "What took you so long?" it could have been directed at anyone, not necessarily someone he knew personally. All in all.. I don't think WHO killed him was very important to the story.
