[Evangelion] Did Misato killed Kaji??

Well, I had originally assumed that Misato HAD been the one that killed Kaji (because despite initial appearances to the contrary, she is a professional who does her job). When I found out that Anno specifically said no it wasn't her... Well, okay then, there's just one more confusing thing about Eva, add it to the pile.

Most likely it was just a faceless grunt. But what if it was Rei? 'Cmon she killed herself to kill an angel for Gendo, why wouldn't she kill someone else? Gendo succeded in royally fucking up both her ability to recognize her emotions and her concept of the value of human life. She believes that everyone is replaceable.
btw these BBCode buttons are nice, they didn't have those last time I was on a message board (granted that was in 2000).

Everytime I watched it I always got the distinct impression that is was pretty much a nobody who actually killed Kaji. Most defiantly not Misato.
