[Evangelion] Did Misato killed Kaji??

it couldnt be Misato he was getting shot when she was listening to the recording. it was probably that old lady that he always talked too. the reason why i say that is she is the least ovbious one thats why it was her.

And she knew full well what he was up to and tried to warn him at some point. Still, I don't think she'd do something like that on her own discretion (unless it involves killing rei) so I'm guessing good ol Genny had a hand in this as well.

Don't limit yourself to thinking of main characters. To my knowledge, Kaji was meeting with one of his informants. Think to the shots in front of the 'dummy company' and the other on the (teleferique, don't know its name in english).

Misato's out right away. Why'd he be meeting her in such a place? And the idea of her killing him is simply impossible, not after the developments at that point. Her confidence in NERV was pretty much shatered, especially after seeing what was in Terminal Dogma. She was getting close to the truth. If anything, a little more time, and she'd be completely in league with him in his quest.

Gendo and Ritsuko killing him are kinda far fetched. Gendo (or the bartard king as he's so affectionately dubbed by the fanfic community) is indeed capable of doing it, but he wouldn't get his hands dirty at that point in the game. Sending a thug is more realistic. As for Ritsuko, well, again, I don't see a reason for her meeting him down there. So I remain with my original interpretation.

Kaji greets the shooter like a friend. This could mean he is indeed close to him/her.

But then again, he could just be making one of his smart ass remarks, because he knew he'd get killed already.

The smirk and "hey, you're late" isn't all that unusual behavior for Kaji. Heck, he even smirks at the commander himself. As I said, it's probably an informer, and that does incur a certain level of familiarity (even if we're talking of betrayal).

Well, now that I have your attention, Kaji's killer was made to be anonymous. For a while, I have read threads that Shinji actually WAS the culprit, and they had all this random proof and stuff (but it was from the manga and it was so long ago when I first watched the series). Gendou is too busy trying to change the world. Misato would never have the guts. Ritsuko just doesn't care enough. Pen Pen has all the motive. You know it, I know it.

But it was still Shinji.

EDIT: My 100th post! Hooray! Me = conscript! Hooray for so much free time on my hands! Time to go watch some more School Rumble! =)

Well after seeing the scene in the anime I thought it was a miscellaneous Nerv(Seele) agent. But in the manga you get to see a very familiar white glove holding the revolver, making it seem like Gendo.

My money's on misc. nerv intelligence section agent.
