Okay, so my introduction is a little late, not only because this is my second post, but because I registered this account over a year ago. =p Not to mention I've been floating around Anime-Source at least a year before that.
I watch more anime than is healthy, but still can't get enough of it. I usually keep my animeNFO anime list updated, but as of when I'm writing this, I'm a couple months behind with it. Lat I checked it was just barely over 200, I'll have to enter in all the shows I finished watching recently. And now that I've got a couple months without work, I have to actually enter in Notes for all of those "Notes Pending" I put in. That'll take a while...
So yeah, I'm male, 25 years old, and live in Surrey, B.C. Canada. I recently stopped working as an electrician and am going to go to school starting in January to obtain a master's in Psychology to pursue my dream of being a counsellor. When I'm not watching anime or sleeping, I'm playing World of Warcraft on which I have three level 60 Priests.
I'm not much of a forum poster, but I'll certainly try to contribute more than I have from now on! (Which shouldn't be tough, because I've never posted anything until today. hehe)

hey there old noobie!!!
so erm yeah.. since you have been lurking around teh site for some time now i think you ought to know that there shouldn't be any spamming, flamming, double-posting or one liners coming out of you lest you get in trouble with the higher ups...
i hope to see you around the forums.. WAAAAAY more often... if you wana get started on meeting acquaintances here i advise you go to the Longest Thread Ever: Ranter's Heaven... you will be able to meet individuals from all wallks of life.. especially the weirdos...
HEY! another Canadian.. AND IN SURREY EVEN!!! i live in PoCo.. just so you know..
PoCo eh? Nice! Working as an electrician I used to work a lot up on the mountain, Westwood Plateau and such... repairing all the electrical in the houses that people turned into marijuana grow-ops... Kinda neat that my first response was from a local! Which actually brings something else to mind, that whole A-S hockey team poll on the front page. I got quite a kick out of that. XD I'd have voted that I'd like to join if not for the fact I'm awful at hockey. >;p
So for spam-posts and one-liners, the usual problem I have with message board posts is massive opinionated posts stating my point of view on a particular argument that usually make me sound like a condescending holier-than-thou jackass. Not that I try to of course, it's just if I get worked up enough about a particular subject I tend to argue my point into the ground.
With all the anime I've watched I should really write reviews and such, but because of my tendancy to get worked up about things like I said above, there's been occasions where reviews I made on other sites got removed for being a little too opinionated. hehe.

Zier>> well i guess you should just erm ease up with the opinions with reviews.. but then again i see some nasty reviews here.. so i guess you'll do fine..
and with the way your posting right now i don't think one liners will be a problem with you..
although if you stick around teh LTE long enough.. we could fix that..
so erm yeah... i suck at hockey too.. heck.. i suck at skating.. period.. _________________

Ack! Why did you faint? *gets a wet towel* Is it that shocking that I'm 25?
And why do you want me to grow faster!? I already feel so old, and when I start school in January I'm gonna be around 18 and 19-yr olds and I'm gonna start feeling really old.
Perhaps I will check out that longest thread ever... Although I usually like reading entire threads to make sure I'm not repeating stuff etc, I'd be insane to read all of that in one go. hehe
Oh yeah, there's a big shortage of tradesmen here too, but I don't have any passion for it. Money has never been something important to me, so working in a career I simply can't stand just isn't worth it. I'm a scrawny person (5'7" and 130lbs!), and I really don't like crawling through attics and in crawlspaces under houses and whatnot.. I mean I used to have nice soft girly hands, and now they're scarred and rough. I've grown my hair out over the past couple years as well so now that it's down a little past my shoulders, wearing a hat all the time at work really started to suck (plus it looked really stupid).
Other than that, the only thing I've found that I really get a sense of enjoyment of fulfilment from is listening to other people's problems and helping them through it, which is something I've done quite a bit of online. I finally realized being a counsellor is what I truly want to be, so I'm going to pursue that and get me a degree in Psychology.

But I see where you're coming from, you'd rather do something you enjoy doing rather then doing something you don't enjoy, which is quite fair enough! I wish you the best of luck with that _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!!
ultimasome >> I'll be sure to drop by the LTE as often as I remember to. hehe
Kimmie-chan >> Well, from childhood all the way until I was 23, I've had the typical asian short 'n spiky haircut. No change whatsoever, just the same haircut for my entire life. I needed a change, and a drastic one! So I started "Operation: Bishie Cy" and started growing my hair out, and intend to let it keep growing despite how many of my relatives tell me I'm starting to look like a girl. Plus it looks really great with red highlights. I have to say though... Long hair gets expensive!
killeraargh >> Well, if you live in Surrey, I already live around you, but if you want to get really specific, near Scott Road and 92nd ave. I'm afraid I can't get more detailed than that... not safe you know, never know who may be lurking 'round these parts. o.o
destiny81 >> Well, I know what the "81" in your name is from then! XD Thank you for the welcome. =)
Reading around in the other intro threads, I see people listing their favorite animes... Maybe I should do that! Top 10!
#1) Scryed - I just love this anime. I could go on and on about it, but I'll spare you all... for now.
#2) Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - I've never cried so much because of an anime. *sniffle*
#3) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - What's not to love?
#4) Elfen Lied - Dark, disturbing and cute. Just the thing to shake someone out of their comfort zone.
#5) Fullmetal Alchemist - I don't really know if I should put this as a personal Favourite, but I certainly think it's one of the best made anime of all time, and as such deserves to be on any 'top 10 anime' list.
#6) Honey and Clover - Brilliant writing. Cried almost as much watching this as I did KgNE, but laughed far more.
#7) Kino no Tabi - I'm a sucker for philosophical stuff.
#8} Full Metal Panic!, Fumoffu? and The Second Raid - It just keeps getting better with every series.
#9) Kaleido Star - It's a shame so few people watched this series.
#10) Hoshi no Koe - Makoto Shinkai is my hero. Adored Beyond the Clouds too.
teehee, and I'll retaliate by listing the only ten animes I have seen from beginning to end
xD
1) Haruhi - love
2) Shakugan no Shana - love
3) Full Metal Panic - love
4) Fumoffu! - love
5) The Second Raid - love
6) Kannaduki no Miko - wasn't too bad
7) Shuffle! - quite like it
Fate/Stay Night - wasn't too bad
9) oh, wtf? I haven't even seen 9...
xD
dam, I'm on 136th street and 24th..xD
edit : and, obviously, If I didn't bother to finish a series, I didn't like it..xD
