A-S's Ghost Hunt Synopsis & Info.
It seems people are missing out this amazing piece of work.
A school building is rumored to be cursed by evil spirits, thus the principal hires exorcists including a ghost hunter, shrine priestess, monk, church priest and telepathic to clean up the place.
Our protagonist, Taniyama Mai is a normal high school girl who enjoys exchanging ghost stories with her friends. Due to curiosity, she enters the "cursed" school building to have a look around. An old shelf was about to collapse onto her when she was pushed aside by a man.
Mai later found out that he works for Shibuya Psychic Research Center and since he was injured because of her, Mai will have to be his replacement and work for the handsome yet arrogant Kazuya Shibuya (president of the SPRC).
Just like the X-Files theme, the opening sets you straight to the right mood. Those who enjoy horror and supernatural stuffs (like me) will be praying for more or the suspense will definitely "kill" you... |

I've been watching that series. It's quite interesting, but I have a feeling that there is lot more to this series than what was shown in the first 2 episodes.
Not the most interesting series of this season, but this certainly adds to the variety of this season's watch list.
Lately, the trend in anime have been going into bizarre territory... the rise in trap characters and oh so common incestuous love themes. We need some healthy dose of mystery/supernatural themes now more than ever. Though, I'm still not sure if this falls into supernatural category yet, the first two episode didn't conclude that there are any actual supernatural activities going on. |

Actually, I've been keeping up with the manga, and I enjoy it. They've actually made some scary/creepy drawings. I'm really looking forward to it in the anime.
For the first episode, nothing really scary happened, not even a bit. Just introducing the characters and the 'feel'. Although they've already introduced all the main characters, no more additions after this. I like the character designs and all. Good first episode. |

Watched the first epi, can't wait for more. I'm always a sucker for paranormal shows. Sorta reminds me of the group TAPs.
Ooo, they have a manga too? Guess I'll try to check that out as well. |

| I'd heard a bit about this before the first ep was subbed, so I downloaded and watched it straight away when it arrived. It's been an awful long wait since then, though... I've almost forgotten what happened! |

| lol the opening tune sounds like something from a Tim Burton "stop-motion capture" movie. You have peaked my interest! |

I've worked out what the opening music reminds me of: Spiderman the movie! It's really similar, just with a more spooky feel. Or Spiderman 2, can't quite remember which has the music I'm thinking of...
And Eerie Indiana! |

Is Shinsen-subs subbing this as well?
It says they are on their website, but I can't find the torrents anywhere on their site or on Anime-source...
I was genuinely spooked out with the 2nd episode. ^_^'
Edit: oh wait nevermind... I found it... They've teamed up with Ureshi. |

Achieving something truly chilling is hard at the best of times. Most horror films only manage to cause fear using body horror (horror involving destruction/deformation of the human body in order to provoke sympathetic visceral feelings in the viewer). The last film I watched that didn't use this and still scared me was The Others. Unfortunately, no anime has yet to do that for me, including this series...
But there's plenty of time for this series I suppose. And I'm still enjoying it, even without being particularly creeped out, so I'm not really complaining. |

| Episode four was really good. Still not scary, but a lot spookier than the first three eps, which ended with a bit of a disappointing anticlimax. The ep was reminiscent of the Ring films (Japanese, not American) at times and it was good old fashioned ghost story type material, which I'm a fan of. If the series goes on in this vein (or even gets better - it could happen!), I'll be more than satisfied. |

| The writer for Ghost Hunt's original novel is Ono Fuyumi (野由美) who also did Juuni Kokki - The Twelve Kingdoms. If you haven't watched it, i suggest you do so right away : ) |

| This series definitely is on my must watch list. I love the intro music, and the ending music is good as well. Can't wait for EP 6 to be subbed. Looking forward to the conclusion for story arc number 2. |

| This looks to be one of my favorites for this season. I really love Mai and Naru's characters. And I hope that people will be subbing it more consistently because it's already on the 11th episode, but only 5 have been subbed. Awesome series, I really like how they changed the drawing style from the manga, it looks much cleaner. And that opening is so awesome |
