Actually I don't care for them. I mean sure its an improvement, but the skull thing was overdone, and that tunnel at the end was just dumb.
I'd rather they just spiced up the previous credits instead of having put all these extras in. |

| Anybody else think the new OP has added a huge amount to this anime? I already loved the music for it before the change, but it was just a little dull on the visuals front. Not any more! They have used a lot of horror clichés for the new intro, but they've done them really slickly. Never mind the episodes, I got chills just from watching that green thing suddenly resolve into a ghost first time through! |
The first openning had a good music, it felt like music for a hunt. But the viuals were lacking somehow, didn't really contribute towards the title of the show.
The new opening add the elements of ghost / creepy / spooky / halloween to the hunt music. Much more suited to the title of Ghost Hunt, though at the end of the day, the openning still does not capture the brilliance of the show.
I'm already wishing for a sequal to the show |

If you guys think the stories shown thus far are scary, wait till you see the coming one.
oh another thing
None of you seem to notice this, Naru didn't bend the spoon during his first time but actually snapped it into two parts.

I think its really a matter of personal opinion.
There are some parts of the new opening that I really like, that add to it. The shadowed figure in flame. The altered view of the spirits, and especially the new title.
What it comes down to though, is that GH is all about mood. They do a terrific job with the OP music, its spooky and perfect for GH. Previously the visuals though were lacking. Now they are overdone. As I said, its really a matter of opinion. But I didn't like that tunnel, and I didn't care for all the skulled spirits. More then anything I just thought they clashed with the mood created by the music and the show. |

I thought the swooping skulled figure fitted with the music perfectly at that point. The one before did seem a little unnecessary though. I also agree they're not quite in keeping with the content of the show. I mean, no ghosts or spirits have been portrayed in anything like the same way as them...
Having said that, I haven't been particularly impressed with the way the spirits have been portrayed in the episodes. Quite often, they're shown rather too clearly to be scary. If they shadowed them more or showed less of them I think they'd be more scary, I mean, it's the fear of the unknown, of what you can't quite see, that's most scary, because your mind can imagine all sorts of terrors that are difficult to portray on screen.
That said, of course, it's not enough to make me dislike the series. I just think it has the potential to be much scarier.
One more thing about the OP, though: What's that ruined cityscape thing about? I like it as an image, and it goes with the music at that point, but what does it have to do with Ghost Hunt? |

Ok, Episode 19 is definitely the scariest one yet. Especially that ending.
I really hope she wakes up quickly.

I agree this arc is the creepiest so far.
I wonder what the goal of slitting all those people's throats was for. Seemed like the guy was doing it to fill the tub with blood?

Yes, this arc is the creepiest....and the ending to 19
as for the blood....it kind of reminds me of The Haunting or House on Haunted Hill Not that that is a bad thing
