Yeah... what we're looking for is the unique way every writer brings out their story. Now plenty of stories copies off the another for the sake of profit, true originality is like a needle in the ocean. Well, we gotta be content with what we have.

Ever wondered why the older generation dun watch anime... not their type? will we be like them?

Our generation of pop-culture is too engross in violence and sex. -_- Its no wonder the older generation finds modern anime pathetic. Even I feel it that way.

the problem with the anime's that are coming out is that it has too many things in common and well let's face it, we have apparently explored every archetype (genres) that we could have possibly come up with. what we need is a new genre which i believe is near impossible, or an anime of a preexisting genre but done in some weird way that won't make the reader lose interest. for example, there's the manga Cromartie High School and its basically a comedy about this guy who ends up in cromartie high school which is know for badasses and so he survives it by being the baddest of em all. The plot twist to this is the sheer level of stupidity of the people.

Well I suppose you could be tired of a genre (etc romance, in GRC's point) but can you be tired of it forever? Or even a long time? I was once sick of comedy type, but I got back to it after a while. I'm currently sick of Life genre anime, but I'm trying to get my hand on one of those right now.

Besides, we had combined genres. You got childish romance like Zero no Tsukaima, Mature Romance like Honey & Clover, Horror Romance like Elfen Lied.

Angel> Won't it be stereotyping to see anime as a media with high violence and sex rate... i mean, not all anime is like that

now see i think that's too presumptuous, how will you know that the next generation will like hentai? i'm not saying they won't, i mean it's been ingrained into our minds permanently to procreate but still, how do you know? all i know is what's happening now and that, sadly, revolves heavily of violence and sex

So I'm asking if you're bored of anime as a media itself?
