I was wondering if anyone will start to get bored of anime.
I’m a person who gets sick of things pretty fast. I remember in the past few years I’ve never played a game for more than a couple of weeks, perhaps more if the story/campaign’s real long (Like GTA). When Need for Speed: Most wanted released, I was pretty desperate to get the game, but after I got it, I played for a week and got bored of it. Well, by next week I lay of games altogether.
The first anime I really got into was Gundam Seed Destiny, but then I wasn’t really into anime yet. But the director did such a bad job about it in the second half and it makes me think if this happens often in other animes as well. Well, my other friends was urging me to watch Naruto, which I didn’t really have a good impression on, because being a Naruto manga collector, I think the anime is sub-standard, story-wise. Well, I guess at that time I didn’t really have a good impression on anime.
It wasn’t until I watched Elfen Lied and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu that I got hooked onto anime. After this two, I watch series after series found randomly on this site. I never really know watching anime could be this fun, probably because mainly whatever I’ve watched before (Like Macross, Serial Experiments Lain) didn’t really suit my taste.
But nearly three months since I’ve started this crazy hobby, I don’t think that I’m enjoying anime as much as I would have three months ago. The only ones that I’ve really enjoyed are Shuffle! and maybe Utawarerumono. Even some parts that seemed interesting doesn’t seem so interesting after all… if you know what I mean. Like Princess Mononoke which I’ve just watch… I found it interesting but kept feeling sleepy at the same time.
Well I’m not laying totally laying off anime yet, because its not like I have much else to enjoy though (Even though I’m currently checking out Need for Speed: Carbon and Warhammer dark Crusade). But just wondering if you guys felt the same way as I do, and maybe, what you do to keep this passion up.
Well, my question is if you would get bored of anime is a whole, as a media. I think that all media (manga, anime, TV, movie) present stories differently, so I mean if you could get bored of the way anime presents their stories. Post your thoughts.

I don't think I will ever get bored of anime when they always come out with the most creative and crazy plot for a new anime each time (thinking oif Suzumiya Haruhi...).

I don't know if I could get bored of "anime" in general... I mean, it's a medium afterall, so it would be like saying I was bored of "tv" or "movies." If I get bored of a particular anime series, I just move on to another series. Anime is a broad term with plenty of options, even genres. There have been a couple times in which I felt like anime was starting to lose its grip on me, but usually within a week or two I was able to find a series to recapture my interest. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

I think there's too many series and different 'genres' out there for anime, for me to ever get sick and bored of it. I want to elaberate more ...but I can't think of any more points XD _________________ Get ready to vote for who you think is the Sexiest Anime Character!!
Ya, I'm kind of saying what xeno said, about getting bored with the whole media "anime" altogether. What I feel is, I dun think I appreciate anime as much as I think I had... and if this also occur in others.
Well I've said this before, that Movie, TV, Manga, Anime... all this forms of media deliver their story differently; they can NEVER be the same.
...i think
Do you think you appreciate anime as much as you had all these while?
...would be a more appropriate question

i'm starting to get bored from animes based on dating games, most of are soooo boring and extremely similar, i prefer animes based on manga, and movies like princess mononoke and vampire hunter d: blood lust..
I am not in the mood for this season anime release T_T the only interest me ar Death Note, Hataraki Man n Red Garden. The rest, i find, it lack a special something in it :/ sigh..... maybe i am starting to be picky with animes ~.~
I get bored with some anime series but not anime itself. I easily get bored on dubbed anime, romance anime and animes with paranormal genres. I really get bored on popular anime series that are super commercialized and full of fillers like NARUTO. _________________
