classroom doodles / drawings~

when i have nothing better to do in class, or when i'm feeling sleepy and need something to focus on (else i'll really fall asleep xP) i tend to do some sketching in my notebook.

some of them turn out pretty well, and when i get back to the guesthouse i usually finish 'em up. or just save 'em to doodle some more on the next day ^_^

anyways, since some of them (i won't tell which! Very Happy

) are actual character designs, i figured i'd post 'em here and get some feedback ^_^

for now, i'll just put up two drawings. i just put 'em together to make it easier to post, they don't have anything to do with each other xD

if you're interested, i sketch with an ordinary mechanical pencil, 0.5 HB lead.
i ink with two pens, one with a 0.5 thickness and the other is 0.2.
and the coloring is done with ordinary colored pencils that costs like, 1 US dollar per pack of 12 Very Happy

please leave a comment, any and every thought is welcome ^_^
personally, i usually fret over dimensions... like, is this too large, is this too small? is this body part the right length, etc etc.
so anything concerning dimensions is doubly welcome xD

drawing manga / anime is all practice really.
sort of like playing an instrument, or maybe
martial arts.

wow, your a very good artist, wish i can color like that with color pencils...
how did u get the colored pencils to have a skin color like that, do u have skin colored pencils??

sjgirl: yea, i have a skin-colored pencil. i put on a thin "layer" of color with that, then i tweak the color around a bit with other colors. like, for shadows, i use an orange pencil. just be careful of how hard you press the pencil down, and you'll be fine Wink
