Such a great project... was killed by Square-Enix, this group made all the stuff from scratch, bringing Chrono Trigger 3D to PC.

If Square-Enix supported the project, millions of people would pay to buy this game, but they choose to kill it, http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?chr1337
8616 people filed petition against Square-Enix on this matter, petition does nothing but just to show you how many people feel sad for this project.

So sad to see a great project like this to die, all I can say is... FUCK!!!

That's really old news. They still have that page up? I mean I did feel bad for those guys who worked so hard on that project but, I'm sure they didn't do it to make money off of it, because that would have been illegal.
Square had every good reason to stop that project and it's not like those project guys didn't get anything out of the experience. They learned lot of things from working on that, I'm sure.
It was a fans' tribute to a great game, so don't feel so bitter about it.
