i went to one today!!!
its was quiet, it was nice.
it was kinda creepy though....
i was the only young person there.
the other customers were 30+ year olds.
the girls were nice though, and pretty cute.
otherwise, its just the same as any other cafe, just the customers are all male.

Wow, they made it sound bad...
Ugh, I want one too!!
*sets up a maid cafe in a spare room*
Or I could just go to a school festival and see moe school girls in maid/catgirl/other cute outfits serving miscellaneous stuff inside classrooms.
Hmm... I'll go and have a reality check. _________________ EX-mod |

| I found the location of Imaid (well it was actually my friend). I kinda peeked at the window when waiting for the bus to go home. I didn't see no maid waitress, but perhaps its either their day off or I'm blind. |

You may be blind.
Am I the only one in Toronto whos seen this? Its on the intersection called Kennedy and McNicolle. The places is a small corner cafe with asian girls and french maid costumes. I could take a picture of it if you want. The place is a cross the street from a Catholic school (Mary Ward).
---By the way.. None of the waitresses there are actually Japanese or anything. They're all like chinese or somewhere along that line. The girls you see on that web site are probably still working there. Haha.
---I'm not even sure how you people came to hear about this place. I didn't expect it to be anything famous. Apparently word travels fast about french maid costumes. |

I'm not blind. The day I peeked in was when there was no maids on duty at that time. My friend passed by recently and said there were maid waitress.
Another friend of mine went in and said the food is expensive and aren't really worth it. So far there are three maids there (well from the last time my friend was there) and he said only one of them was cute (from his standard). _________________

| That can be true. The girls don't look that great there haha. Well from my standards as well. My cousin actually lives in that building the cafe is under (Bamburgh Gate) I go by that place a lot when I go to Pacific Mall haha. Never actually seen the menu. |

O__O
say it isn't so!?!?! ah well... not like I was going up to Toronto anytime soon, but this sets bad precedent for anyone else thinking getting into the game. I guess since only really anime fans and japanophiles even understand the concept, the crowd interest big enough to keep a place like that running just isn't enough.
oh well, I'll at least get to check out the maid cafe at NYAF next week _________________

not NYFA, it's NYAF, heehee... the New York Anime Festival. I sent an email to the press coordinator asking for special privileges to write a decent report on how the cafe there runs over the weekend. Please look forward to my special feature!! ^___^V _________________

Good Sparta!
I've known that cafe for a long time yet never able to go there. I was hoping that it would stay until I would mature and be older than I am now. _________________
