I didn't see a thread of PS3 reviews. Thought I'd start one.

, looks that firmware upgrade takes so much time to install, it gets on the nerves but atleast it works, and as for the backward compatibility sony launshed a site for that, it seems that about 80% of ps2 games will work fine but ps1 games are having more problems.

by the way the pic you use for the ps3 is rather old, that boomerang was canned in favor of the "sixaxis" quite a wile back..

As far as I've heard, the only problems have been some backwards compatability issues (like sound being dropped and such) and overheating. Unless you consider $600 to be a problem, too...

did u know the ps3 isnt even really worth selling on ebay now? ppl have started to return them to the place i work at bc they arent getting what they thought they would

Holy SHIIIIIIT? 1500? Well don't worry, Sony has halted shipping to Australia and the rest of the world besides Japan and the Uninted States... indefinitly.

I actually sugget that you guy DUN buy PS3..
Because Direct X 10 is coming out and PS3 is direct X 9
It will be left out of next-gen games.

Yep. And the PS3 dosen't even have anti-aliasing. Even the Wii has it. It also is terrible with old games.

The backward compatibility issue is infamously known among the ps3 community but then again, i just use my ps2 for them, haha. As far as problems, mine has been great so far. It does produce an alot of heat, but it hasnt burned down my house and its not that bad. The biggest thing holding the console back for now imo is the amount of games avaliable. Alot of highly-anticipated titles will b releasing this year which should give the ps3 better leverage against the competitors. Very Happy

especially since wii out...
except for some reason tri ace(sq-enix) only make their game for this console
that means i want or not must buy them....
(i'm not a fan of sony but a fan of tri ace[star ocean... valkyrie...)
