| If by best you mean longest then you're absolutely right, but if you don't then I'd have to go with Hajime no Ippo. |

Can't really decide. I'd probably say GTO or HNI if they didn't have some low points... Then I'd probably choose Ghost in the Shell: SAC but the second season is a major drop in quality... So I guess I'd go with Haibane Renmei or FLCL. Both are short and sweet.
As far as movies are concerned I think that Cowboy Bebop Movie, Jin-Roh, and Tokyo Godfathers are the best...
About Naruto being the best... *shiver*
Btw Naruto ain't the longest in the last 5 years, there are quite a few other soaps going |

That sure is alot of anime series. It's hard to choose. How about if I choose one for each year?
2000: I didn't watch alot in this year, maybe three or four ova series which didn't make a big impact on me. Out of all the ones I've watched, I would say...Ayashi no Ceres (even though I only watched a few episodes)
2001: I watched alot anime made in this year, but my favourite is Fruits Basket!
2002: Full Moon wo Sagashite
2003: Full Metal Alchemist
2004: I haven't completed any series in 2004 except Aishiteruze Baby, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Midori no Hibi, Natsuiro no Sunadokei, and Wind -breath of heart-. I'm still trying to catch up with the others. I would pick Kannazuki no Miko, but out of the ones I've completed, I enjoyed Aishiteruze Baby the most.
And out of all these series, I would pick Fruits Basket of course! |

I see there are lots of Narutards here. Anyway, here are a few series I could think off for the last 5 years that I really liked:
Full Moon wo Sagashite
Hikaru no Go
Elfen Lied
Saikano
Kanon |

for me it would have to be hajime no ippo and full metal alchemist, those are the ones that i can come up easily of the top of my head and say that they were very good and every one should see them _________________ [img:387:120:36cb7a5440]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/idjota/BL.jpg[/img:36cb7a5440] |

You can check the Review section for the year it was released.
For me it would be Witch Hunter Robin and Noir. |

macross zero (damn, 5 episodes to be completed for 2 years! 2002-2004)
azumanga daioh (one of those comedy anime that has almost no ecchi in it)
Boys Be ( i kinda like it for some reason, too bad its only 13 episode) |

I liked this years...
Elfen Lied
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien *though I was pretty upset with the upbeat music when she gets run over*
Girls Bravo
Midori no Hibi
There's more but I can't remember or they aren't finished yet |
