Hmm. Naruto is addictive but can you look at it and really say its that good. A good majority of the peopls say its the best but really.... i dont know. I could see it being the next DBZ. Good atm but in 5 more years just some hyped up sitcom that people made a big deal about. In my own opinion, i wont lie, its good but i really would have to say love hina or gto or even one of my perosnal fave hunterXhunter would be a better option. And full metal alchemist deserves a special mention.

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu has been my fave so far. Full Metal Panic! was great, but Fumoffu focused on what sold me on this story in the first place, a grunt trying to make it in a civvie's world. hard to beat Sousuke and Chidori's chemistry, as explosive as it is.

Midori no Hibi and Elfen Lied were two others that really showed what can happen when a production company decides to do a manga adaptation and do it right. RahXephon may have been a lot different from its manga version, but i thought it was great nonetheless. it's been criticized way too much for trying to be Neon Genesis Evangelion, but even though the similarities are glaring, IMOHO it did a much better job at telling its story. the Yoko Kanno soundtrack helps too. gotta give Cowboy Bebop props too for being one of the best.

I would have to say One Piece. It's also probably one of the longest as well. I believe it's upto like 210 in Japan last time I checked. It's twice as long as Naruto.

well i haven't actually researched into the date it first came out but i think Cowboy Bebop is the best anime ever. but if it was made before 2000 then my vote goes to either Samurai Champloo, Fullmetal Alchemist or Naruto.

first of all, i just want to mention that i didn't bother checking out which anime is made before 2000, so please don't lynch me for listing these few (well, not really "few) series that i have watched in "the last 5 years", of which i personally think are well done.

naruto (it IS getting a bit tedious, however. judging from the manga, i'd say it'd go up to 300 episodes)

I though the anime were supposed to be of the last 5 years, not last 10 years o_O

oh wel not gonna nag bout it Razz

I think FMA and Gundam Seed (Best soap ever) are the best of the last 5 years
I also really liked Wolfs Rain.
If we're talking in terms of popularity I think Naruto was most succesfull (uber amount of merchandice)
Get Backers is also high on my list Smile

obviously we all know that naruto is one of the best anime so far and its so well known, just ask some people around you and they could identify naruto being one of the best anime made
