Other really good series:

Bleach
Fafner in the Azure
Ah!My Goddess TV
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien
Full Metal Panic
Gundam Seed (not GSD)
Samurai Champloo
Naruto(no where near the best imo - too many of u naru-tards out there Razz

From what ive seen this is a quick list i could come up with, theres still quite a few series i need to watch/finish(like Saikano, full moon wo sagashite, get backers etc) before id like to comment on them ^^. I like Naruto, and would definately say you should watch it to get your own opinion, but by no means is it one of the best anime in the last 5 years

hajime no ippo is the best in the past 5 years its an anime that has so much and id always recomend it

well then let's see what is my lists of best looks like then...

1. Fruits Basket (2001)

No other anime could make me laugh at one time, and then cry at another... this is one of the anime that has was almost close to perfection... whether at story, character, music... everything was close to perfection... however one major flaw marred this anime, but still was a good one...

2 Last Exile (2003)

GONZO's work has always mesmerized me at how they build up the storyline, and it didnt failed me also with Last Exile... Great CG, a heck lots of Vanships (let's just say i like planes Razz

)... however GONZO also is noteworthy with it's failure to wrap up a story properly, and this anime didnt dissappoint me in that aspect Laughing

3 Soukyuu no Fafner (2004)

Well... I was thinking of putting NGE in here, but it was way old though... how bout putting a clone of it then? Razz

well that is what Fafner is, Eva + GSD + Rahxephon in one packet... on the beginning part that is... as the story progresses, it drew itself away from Eva and Rahxephon, and the characters didnt look like GSD anymore...

4 Samurai Champloo (2004)

Another great anime... actions are truly beautifully made, with straight to the point too... like what samurai truly is... what fails is just a direct storyline, and some character development...

5 Eureka 7 (2005)

Now, this is a new anime, an ongoing series at that... Why am I putting it here? because I have a feeling that it will not dissappoint me... heck even i got the feeling, that when it is all over, it might be in my number one spot on my list of best...
