any one know where i can get a buttload of codecs or a big package of them for WMP?

Take a look at the Official I need a codec forum.
All you need for Windows Media Player is in my opinion:
Xvid Codecs
ffdshow
DivX
Ogg / Ogm
With those 4 codes you should be able to play the vast majority of fansubs out these days including ogm, mkv formats. |

| I recommend downloading the k-lite codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/Video_Codecs.htm , it has every thing u need and its easier than downloading individual components. |
