Dear all,
Ive had some problems with my Laptop recently. My friend introduced me the program "Easycleaner", which can help to delete duplicate files and unneccesary files in the computer. Myself, not being so much of a computer whiz, decided to let it clear the duplicate files in my hard drive.
it turns out that it wiped out some of my essential windows files at the same time. In the end, i cannot burn CD, my Halo game cannot be started as it seems that it deleted the .exe file, it also caused me to lose my wireless connection, so i had to reinstall the wireless adaptor..... and who knows what else is deleted......
Hoping that some one here would pretty please help me..... my school year is starting in 5 days.... and i doing practically all my work on my laptop.....
HELP!!!! >——《
pls oh pls?!?!
you all can email me at jiashore@gmail.com, or give me a PM, or just reply.... Thanks to all!!! ^_^
cheers,

| I don't know what more help could be done. You just need to reinstall the stuff you need to use. Telling you where to get those softwares is beyond my league. |

Well, if you are using the recovery CD, then it is going to be hard. Another way is to backup your data and reformat your HDD. It maybe a good sign that it may need some good old formatting once in a while. _________________

sounds like you may need to reinstall the items.........u should be able to get windows service pack 2 from microsoft.com
it may actually be easier just to reformat the drives and reinstall windows.......although this is a bit time consuming. i have a question what type of computer do you own (ie. acer, dell, compaq). and another thing you may not want to run that program again but im sure you dont need me to tell you that lol this reminds me of the time my desktop did the same thing _________________ Want advice DONT WORK AT WALMART... Let me tell you first, toshiba usually have bad warranty....
Anyway, open up that program and see if there's anyway to recover those files deleted. Most GOOD programs will quarantine files instead of deleting it.
Otherwise... try system restore... |

My friend told me a similar case on the phone, but she lives far and I dun have the time to go check out the com myself... I figured she's probably a computer noob, and I told her that her com's a goner... XD Well i fixed it in the end...
Its always very hard to find the problem if only you can describe it... The best way is too see if the programs has a backup for the deleted files. Otherwise, your best bet is to reinstall everything... you might as well start now. |
