|
|
Hi!
Can you recommend me an anime series or OVA to watch?
I would like one of the main characters to be a cyborg/android/doll/robot with a story and some action.
I only know of two, that is Armitage III and Ghost in the Shell.
Do you know of any others?
Thanks in advance. |

Gunmm (1993) a 2 part OVA should fit your bill. Based off the manga by the same title, it features a female android in a post-apocalyptic world. Also known as Battle Angel Alita or just Battle Angel.
( Note : I have not watched this OVA but I have read the manga. ) |

re: cutie honey OVA
a 3 part ova which the main character is an android. which fights evil
Re: Cutie Honey is all about comedy and mild titillation. If you're looking for a break from more serious anime, Cutie Honey might be just the right resting spot.
In short, this is a simple, adrenaline packed and massively entertaining comedy anime in the style of 2x2=Shinobuden, FLCL and Project A-Ko, with a unique and bizarre visual style, a host of wacky characters and tons of cheeky fanservice.
It's crazy and bound to make you grin like an idiot <3

| Thanks Zeorymer. Sounds interesting. One of the reviews I read compared it to Austin Powers. Am looking for it. |

I advise you not to touch this one, i saw it and let me say it was horrible. They totally butchered the story (characters and storyline) enough that it hardly makes any sense. If you are interested by Gunnm, get the mangas, much better.
There's still Mahoromatic if you haven't seen it.[/i] |

Thanks Dolphin for the recommendation.
Is AKO an abbreviation? I tried looking for it in the review section but came up empty. |

Hmmm...
Artimage
Avenger (although i didn't like this one, sucked really bad)
Battle Angel Alita (as mentioned already)
Big O (has an android sidekick)
Bubblegum Crisis/Parasite Eve
Cutey Honey
Cyborg 009
Ghost in the Shell
Gunslinger Girl
Hand Maid May (no action, all romantic ecchi comedy)
Kiddy Grade (no cyborgs, but artificial humans?)
Mahoromatic
Metropolis
Najica Blitz Tactics
Rozen Maiden
Trigun (what is Vash supposed to be anyways?)
Video Girl Ai (no action.. all romance)
Yokohama (quiet drama i think)
Thats about most of them I can think of right now. |
