Why do you watch anime?

well i watch animes basicly because you can see things you cant see @ the movies, they are entertaining, characters can do things that cant happen @ series or movies, and moreover i really like the design and the stories of them. Even if they become really tiring sometimes , i cant really stop seeing them. I AM ADDICTED xD

I love Anime, I watch for the sheer entertainment and I get so wrapped up in the stories. I am a suucker for dramas like Kimi ga nozomu eien (first anime I ever watched) and I also really like dark sanime like Elfin Lied or Shingetsutan Tsukihime (a.k.a Lunar Legend Tsukihime). Or just plain silly like UFO Princess Valkyrie. I watch Bleach alot on TV even though my roommate gives me crap about watching that show. Long as it entertains me I will watch it.

Some of animes we watch just for intertainment and some others for wasting our time. Anime from kind to kind changes so well the porpuse of watching it changes as well. These days I dont have time to watch any anime I saw. I have to look on it and see if it have a deep meaning or if it will be a waste of time. Knowing what each anime anime hiddes is why I watch them.
Though there's no porpuse to watch romance animes. They all end exaggerating.

Storyline is always top notch. Subject matters in most animes are very interesting

I watch Anime because I like the animation and tv is boring.
Also they are entertaining and I love the cute voices, Anime sometimes makes me cry and laugh.And also i am addicted to it to : )

i watch anime because it helps me remember and improve my japanese a little at a time, and the good ones move my emotions~ sometimes it's just what i need to remember or cherish something important which i'd nearly forgotten.

ONtop of all that, i often find myself reflecting over some life issue, problem with society, or reflecting on something which relates back to me or the world at large...i enjoy that sorta thing.

Besides which, you can find some amazing worlds in anime. Pretty fun at times ^_^ i remember the firstime i saw Eureka Seven~ i thought, "Omgorz, surfing on air?! wouldn't that be amazing! ...oh dude! mechas too~"

I watch anime for entertainment. I get engrossed in the plots and I end up loving the characters and wanted to know more. But, this isn't the true reason. I could say the same about TV shows, movies, and books, so what makes anime different? For me, Every once in a while, a particular scene will give me the strangest emotion. I still haven't placed my finger on it yet, but I get almost melancholy in my demeanor, but I am totally happy and at peace. At times like these I feel like I could jump out of a window, cause it doesn't matter. Or just lie down in the middle of a hallway and cherish it. The universe doesn't matter, because I am with it and it is with me. I don't really understand that emotion quite yet, so I strive to get to it and anime and japanese music does that. So...I'm in love.

I prefer animes because of the storyline and almost all ways a conclusion. American TV starts out with the intent to do so, then goes filler and more filler then cancel. Personally, I am tired of investing time in storylines that could make my wasted time worth something only to watch it wither away into cancellation.

(also a sports junkie and I can watch anime between games till that black hole I call after basketball and before football...then I go crazy catching up on anime, I think people call it baseball season?)
