| I've really been enjoying this series. I admit that at first I didn't like Milch, but he is starting to grow on me. Kind of like a fungus, but still, every little bit helps with him. |

Ep11
Wow, the orchestra sequence was pretty nice. The performers' hand movements and everything were pretty realistic, especially on piano and wind instruments. I'm guessing they somehow captured the real musicians' movements into the animation. It almost seemed like cellshaded 3D animation. It'd be interesting if something like that was included as DVD extras. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

| It would have been cool if they did full animation on the S-Oke's performance instead of having it as a slideshow. Maybe that's why ep 11's animation looked so good. They probably spent more time on it... |

Yeah, looks like they were saving the budget for a really important stage in the anime: Chiaki's first concerto performance. Let's hope there's more like that to come.
I really enjoyed the special 'Rhapsody in Blue' performance, but I have a special place in my heart for Rach. 2. Like a lot of other people really. It used to be my favourite piece of music, until I discovered Vaughan Williams. And we got to hear the vast majority of the first movement! Yippee!
God, it would be brilliant if there was some Vaughan Williams in this series. Can't see it, though, his music isn't as well known as some other composers that are much more likely to be used (Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Haydn...).
Still, here's praying for 'Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis'... |

lol@ Melancholic
Rhapsody in Blue in the drama was really great. Much cuter than the anime. I say people should watch the drama just for it =D. The anime emphasized Nodame being in the Mongoose costume quite a bit (like in the opening and ending), yet the performance was just a mere slideshow. I was kinda disappointed. |

I'm glad I amuse you... But... Why do I amuse you?
I still haven't checked out the drama. I'll have to do that sometime soon. Are you watching subs, Thugangel? And if you are, what's the name of the group? |

Your wishing for songs to be played in the series is quite amusing =D.
I got my subs from http://www.s-projects.org/ . You have to register to get them though. |

| Finally finished watching episode 11. The rhapsody in blue, and rachmanoff [sp] were so good that it gave me the urge to go dl the drama. Honestly, both of the pieces were really touching and relaxing. Man, I love this series. |

I've started watching the drama and, I have to say, I think the anime is better. The only thing going the drama's way is the fact that the episodes are longer so you get a deeper understanding of the progression of things. Seriously, the acting is dire (even for a J-drama) the situational comedy is done far better in the anime, the characters are less likeable (though Nodame is done pretty well) and the general directing and camera work is entirely uninspiring.
I will admit that I haven't got very far with the series yet, so I can't compare things like the Rhapsody in Blue performance... |

LOlz, i've gotta say, im incredibly skeptical when it comes to my expectations of J-dramas for exactly this reason. Every live- action i see seems to eclipse previous ones in terms of horrid acting.
I was contemplating giving the drama a try, but i was holding off due to previous bad experiences, i guess i won't be giving this a try in the end. I don't know why, but bad acting unreasonably really gets on my nerves. |

I'm sorry to say, I've yet to see a J-drama of any kind that has great acting. It's mostly full of over exaggerated facial expressions and over acting in general. For example: a guy who dies sticks his tongue out and goes cross eyed... who the hell dies like that in real life? (and this was not a comedy...) seriously, these actors have watched way too much cartoons. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |
