CSI is critically aclaimed and at the same time, a laughing stock. Do you love CSI or do you want to pound it in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer?

I've only seen 2 episodes. I remember the first one I ever saw. I'll never forget...

There was a family on their personal boats in a shark infested ocean when they see the sharks and are scared. Then their boat catches on fire. It was so small a fire it could be put out with a bucket of water. The teenage girl sees the fire than looks into the ocean thinking for escape. Her family calls for her not to jump but she does and gets eaten by the sharks. Around three seconds after all her blood rose to the surface of the ocean, her brother jumps into save her and also gets eaten. Then the CSI theme song starts.

This one, 11 minutes are spent in this pool party in the back yard of some rich OC guy. Swimming, flirting, chilling out, and tequilla shots off of a shirtless buff guy when some Mexicans (I think) stormed in with stockings for masks, shooting people and taking their jewelry. I'm surprised how much jewelry they cleaned out after attacking a pool party, bags and bags. I'm surprised they shot anybody, a guy while giving all his jewelry and a girl in the pool. I mean the rich guys were cooperative and the girl in the pool didn't do anything. Then the CSI theme song starts.

I'm not sure whether to take it seriously or not, kind of like "Snakes on a Plane". Anyway everyone has been praising that show and I'm just curious why becuz it looked kinda lame.

so... did they... ummm... arrest the shark? heehee

I like Miami, but moreso the newer episodes because I like Ryan Wolf and ummm... that new girl... whatsherface.

I've seen a few episodes of NYC, but it's usually pretty gorey

I tune into Las Vegas every now and then, but I'm not a face of the cast

i,m a big fan of csi miami bcoz the plot suit my taste very well...plus, the existence of horatio make me keep watching the series over and over again......i think he is super cool...

csi ny somehow end up making me sleepy bcoz the their leader mac taylor somehow doesnt look like a detective to me....his acting is somehow weak and doesnt really show him as a professional police officer...

CSI kind of fails at the genre of mystery
They rely on their computers too much
Too many cutting up corpses and dna labs, not enough ingenious deductions.
Try comparing it to Case Closed
And plus, as mangaddict_reborn said, the show is dumb
People do so many stupid things in that show, it's just too stupid to be real.

I don't think every one is smart enough to detect the killer without using any type of assistance like detective conan (what does he call in case closed?)

A good mystery shouldn't rely on DNA evidence in every episode (every? I think so, not sure). And the American version is Case Closed, the very anime itself was edited for the title "Case Closed", was that your question?

Does anybody want to say anything about what I said about those two episodes?

Detective Conan was changed to Case Closed or else of legal dispute. Conan The Barbarian has legal rights to the name.

CSI is pretty good. I don't watch it often. Just whenever it appears on when I'm watch TV or if I ever see it when flipping through channels.

I don't mind them using DNA evidence or anything. Just one of many ways to solve a mystery.

And I won't common bout your summary of the 2 eps you watched. I've never seen those two before.

Though I prefer the X-File over CSI even though they are way different.

yeah, he's cool. I love his corny one-liners at the start of each episode. It's so 1970's cop-show drama... I laugh my ass off every time

yeah, especially the cameras and photo technology. They'll take a shitty security camera footage tape and zoom in on a car window sticker like 100 meters away and make it come out crystal clear. Reallife doesn't work that way... the crappy camera detects the image as maybe 4 or 9 grey pixels... it can't be claified to read perfect text.

I also hate their labs. Yeah, they look cool, but they're totally Hollywood. It's a government building.. no crazy lighting, cool walls, or awesome glass design structure. Govn't buildings are cold, made of white cinderblock and are flooded with super-bright fluroescent lighting.

it is? I think Miami uses pretty up-to-date tech

and there are some things Hollywood doesn't know about the real police world... like electronic fingerprint scanners... no more ink pads

I had another thing to say, but now I forget

I watch, because of the line, once in an often, you'll heard something sarcastic, funny both ways, and sometimes confusing.

I quote "urine, you're out."
dr robert said that when he's about to extract some urine from a woman.
well, "urine" sounds like "you're in".
Cool

I think its CSI-Las Vegas( the one with "Grissim"). ya that one got' ta love it. Although i haven't watch CSI for a while, But when i get time to watch it, love every second of it. En its not just because of all the Eye Candy people, but the way they solve it, its just mind boggling. They take small things and paint the big picture with it. Favorite character from the show has to be Grissim. i was watchign the discovery channel one time and they showed the real Grissim. by that i mean there is an actual guy who stydies what kind of bug shows up when the dead body is decomposing and other stuff about bugs. BTW the guys name is Dr. Lee Goff, at least i think thats his name. imagine studying bugs..uggh ICKY!!!
