if you wait for episodes to build up before you watch (I do that some times) then I recommend that you wait for a few more episodes (2 or 3) before you watch..

yup i think most had switched to read the manga and waiting for the good scenes to come to the anime. no point watching it now...too draggy.

I find the anime too draggy as well but I am still holding to watching it.

I do get pissed off at flash backs and I dont know what is the negative impact of them on the fans and how it will/will not be addressed by the writer.

Still, it's a very good show and frankly, I dont have much else to watch other than Bleach, One Piece, and maybe Hellsing if they actually send it out finally.

It seems like all that comes out now a days is a high school setup slapped on an anime... kinda tired of those weak stories.

wow I just caught up with the last 4 episodes, and they still haven't seen Sasuke's face Shocked

..

50 episodes= 60 manga chapter. the pace improves when their is a fight usually else it would've remained 1:1 between manga and anime..

the next episode is not a one-hour special right? just "Sasuke appears" special?

It Appears it was a one hour special... Although a very dissapointing one. I was really looking forward to some action yet all we got was a clipshow( i mean how many flashbacks can you pack into a 45minute show Sad

Not only that, i am just tired of the way they continue to pound on the main character... we get it okay.. he sucks ass... can we move on. Either make him better or give us a better story. I can't tell the difference between naruto from the first series and the current naruto... except for the height.

The special was... lame.. seriously.. it consisted of like 20 seconds of fighting and endless flashbacks..

My boyfriend and I watched this last night during supper. He turned to me and said that this episode was going to be full of flashbacks, and that they needed to find a better way of wasting time. He then watched it and told me that he was never fond of Sasuke.

I was thinking the same thing. The only difference between us is that I read the manga, and I didn't watch Naruto, just Shippudden. He gets mad when I say stuff like "that's not supposed to happen".

I think for the time being though, I'm going to watch it, but I have no hope for the pace they are trying to make =(

the next one will also be a one hour special after two weeks tho..
and yeah the pace is still slow, don't expect it to improve any time soon if ever, right now even the manga is dragging Shocked

Naruto got some serious issues with pace....

I remember first watching Naruto when it came out... I was second year med school.... I remmeber Naruto ending around the time I finished med school and even into residency... I wonder when will Shippudin finish.

Bleach suffers similar issues.
