I know some of you talented people out there might play piano and like anime at the same time.
My parents forced me to play as a kid so I have some skills left with the piano.. but not much.
But here are some cool sheet music sites.
http://ichigos.com/animemusic/
http://www.animescores.com/SheetMusic/index.htm
A few songs I'm learning myself and I recommend to others are:
Scarlet - Ayashi no Ceres
Eternal Snow - Full Moon wo Sagashite
.hack//SIGN has some nice compositions as well.
Kimagure Orange Road (who doesn't love Modaka's piano music? Personal favorites include Kyosuke #1, Emotion, Missing)
X TV (Destiny)
AHhhh makes me wanna play again! |

Cool, well actually I discovered these sites a long time ago, but I still appreciate it.
I took keyboard lessons (for only two and a half months) when I was in grade 7. When I moved from British Columbia to Ontario, I never really touched the keyboard till then, it was an on and off thing.
Now I play the keyboard every chance I get (almost). I have 'mastered' Full Moon wo Sagashite - Eternal Snow (from ichigo's music sheets) but I've tweaked it a little, so it'll be easier for me. I have mastered Fruits Basket - Memory from home. Now I'm working on Gundam Wing - White Reflection. And it's only been 6 weeks
I tried to sing along with playing the piano...doesn't work...lol
Hey cool! Maybe we should have Karaoke contest! .. .ya right - most of us are guys... |

Very cool Himitsu,
so does your playing sound anything like Track 18 - eternal snow ~piano swing instrumental~ of the 2nd OST? lol
I'm not too familiar of the Fruits Basket song although I printed out alteast one song from the series... its hanging around somewhere.
I usually get urges to play here and there so I don't actually sit down and learn the entire song.. lol
I have the first part of Ayashi no Ceres down.. but never bothered to learn the whole song.
Ayashi no Ceres - Scarlet
I also have Missing's first part down... I haven't bothered to play the second part yet cuz it looks like the same melody played an octave higher.
KOR - Missing
Maybe when i get the urge i'll finish learning those two songs.. but now i have a new distraction...
I've been playing this song for about 4 days and I have a nice chunk of it down... I think I may finish this piece if i don't get distracted by anything else.. heh
KOR - Kyosuke #1 |

lol, I haven't heard that track enough to form if it is similar. My brother says it sounds similar but not as smooth, teh. So in other words, to me it sounds like crap but to "non music people" it sounds wonderful.
I would comment some more, but the ones you're practising...Ayashi no Ceres...and KOR, I haven't heard ANY songs from them. Except Mugen no Kaze from Ayashi no Ceres...which isn't very melodic. |

| Has anyone heard or tried playing Hakkai no Theme from Saiyuki, it's short (only one page) but it sounds really nice. Also 600AD from Chrono Trigger, it sounds nice too. |

Hmm... since this thread was revived, I'll add in a few more links:
http://alphatrance.com/0engine/music/anime/master-index.php (Anime Master Index... a whole load of links to sheet music around the Internet)
http://www.nobuouematsu.com/ (for the Final Fantasy fans)
I've played piano for about... 10 years now . Lately I've been trying my hand at the AIR songs, 'specially Natsukage and the OP/ED. Final Fantasy songs are also pretty good for practicing/playing.
Glad to see other people play piano as well ! Do you recommend any songs?

Unfortunately, I haven't heard those yet, but I'll take a look. |

I've perfected Scarlet from Ayashi No Ceres =D Tragedy Of Rebirth from Angel Sanctuary isn't bad, they have that at animescores. I've been loking for anime sheet music for some time, and I'm really happy to see this (>"<) _________________
