Akira is one of the best anime out there! It was one of the first ones to be shipped to America. It was fantastic.

Grave of the Fireflies- life in Japan duiring WWII, its very realistic so one can relate to the characters easly which makes it even more tragic and sad, very beatiful movie..

I guess age difference shows when people post what they class as old anime - someone said Angelic Layer Shocked
For me, old anime would be Dominion Tank Police, the original Ghost in the Shell, Legend of the 4 Kings, The Guyver, Doomed Megalopolis, Zeguy, Bounty Dog, Macross: Do You Remember Love? Wicked City.
Anything from 2000 onwards I would class as new anime, not really sure what I'd class mid 90's as though Confused

I totally agree with the Macross: Do you remember love? That was such an awesome movie. I also loved the original Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, which DYRL was a retelling of. And I'm talking about the original, not the changed version that they fit into Robotech in the US.

That was THE thing for me back in the day. Brings back so many good memories. *sniff sniff* ^_^

when i was small 3-4 years (saw it in 1990- 91-92,but my friend says it's pretty old movie, at that time there was also anime "ghost ship". ) old there was an anime about a cloud which turns peole in stones, there is prince who wonds to save his beloved princec wich was turned in stone, parallel to this there is a girl from mud and she lives her family and turns in factory in beautiful girl, then she is captured and is forsed to work on factory; from which she ecapes but in the end dies.
as for it's contents.
firstthere is a train which travels (it's not "galexy express!"), and there is darck cloudwhich turns people into stones, and it tryies to catch the train. this cloud has flew overonecountry and made it's princes a stone statue. this princess had fiansay a prince which wanted to liberate and marry her, butwhile he traveled he was captured by enemy's but he escaped; he also traveled in thattrain...
meanwhile there is kingdom of mud, and it has princess which wants to become beautiful human. she lives home and goes to some plase where she becomes very very beautiful girl. but she was kidnaped and forsed to wark in factory. she and herfriend tryed to run away herfriend died and she managed to escape. the factory which she workd was controled by robots. she had suffred a lotand died in that train, before death she turned into mud again and said something that she missed home a lot and that loved parents very much.......... i dont' rememberany more..... maybe this might help you.
thanks again!
The problem is i've never seen it to the end and what's most teribe I dont know it's name. Can you please tell me it name?
