|
|
im not sure if this is the right place for this but for now...
I went to the manga list page un-logged in, and while scrolling down my comp went haywire for a sec and some add minimized my browser and told me my computer was in a week state and i should buy the product.
soo i closed the window out and went back to the browser.
doing so brought another pop up insisting i was vulnerable and needed to act now.
so i closed it out and it opened up another window and said i had activated it and merely needed to select an option. i closed that out and backed up on the browser and go back to the particular page i have bookmarked here. i recieved no further problems and will go try perusing the page again and will report back here if it happens again so i know if its the particular page versus this site or my browser.
wanted to post this so others possibly having the problem could pitch their two cents in and we could hopefully find out how to get rid of the problem or if its just me find that out... and what not.
edit:: tried going back logged in and no problems... _________________ DO THESE LOOK LIKE THE EYES OF A JIGOLO O_O !?

I don't see any popups when browsing manga section. Your computer is could be infected with adwares, all those warnings your saw are probably ads.
Scan your pc with some anti-spyware program like Spybot's Search & Destory for example. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |

the same thing happened to me yesterday. As usual, I do a scan with Spybot immediately after. _________________

According to my firewall, A-S connects to these sites when loading the manga page.
zedo & exponential.com are suspicious since they try to load cookies and Javascripts but my firewall blocks them. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |

cookies are alright, since they try to serve ads that are in your area and make sure you don't get too many of the same ads.
It if runs some kind of script, I'd be worried.
But please do document more of this, ie find out where the popups are coming from. We do not have any popups and shouldn't have any popups to my knownledge. Something like this is very disturbing to me.
Thanks guys _________________

Zedo is part of our new advertiser.
Exponential seems to be a partner of another one of our advertiser. |

they're not pop-ups, they're redirects. Sometimes it lets me use the BACK button in my browser, other times it takes over forcing me to quit.
I just got another one, but hit BACK before it could load fully (I'm on my work computer, so I didn't want to risk anything) _________________

I don't know if it's a pop-up or what, but a random page just opens up sometimes... there's no URL, the menu-bar says "click here", then when the page loads, it brings me to something called "Octane TV" that looks like any other webpage.
EDIT - ugh, now I just got another one for American Express... that's 3 times in the last 5 minutes. I don't know if it's the site or this computer, but this is my work computer with all the fancy virus/spyware software _________________

not a pop-up or a redirect, but a lot of crap from ad.integrity.net keeps loading itself into my computer... probably useless junk taking up harddrive space and possibly spyware. Nothing I'm really worried about, but it makes loading time for pages longer and it's just a general nuisance I don't want to deal with. _________________
