Just my two cents on the 'Flash vs Windcutter' debate...
Logically speaking, the Flash sword should be faster, since there isn't an additional action needed to unsheathe the dastardly big sword to deal damage. Drawing a sword directly to deal damage, however, might be stronger than simply using the sword directly to attack.
Up till now, it's still a difficult match to decide, because while we know the nature of the Flash Sword, we (at least I) don't know the nature of the Windcutter technique. I do believe in my earlier theory, though, after seeing the way oretty little Flora parted the snow before her.
And for the latest:
Episode 20 was thoroughly shounen-ish, though I doubt we'll be able to see much action from Raki, coupled with what Isley had said to Priscilla. I still ponder regarding Priscilla's apparent childlike nature now, though she probably still has the craving for guts and gore. Maybe it's just a stage she has to go through, but I find such a Priscilla refreshing for a moment.
And despite Miria's wishes, I don't think there aren't going to be casualties, what with 27 descending upon them all.

Not to sure about the action from Raki as there is only 6 eps left for this season but in the first few eps the question was asked Why are there no male Claymores. So it is kinda just my guess/ hope that Raki will learn swordsmanship from the north guy and then at some point he will be made into a Claymore by his new companions have to resist awaking and be awesome fighting along side Clair.
But I doubt that would happen. Though either way the series goes I am really enjoying this one.
I was kinda put off originally by the spring series review here, but glad I was bored one day and started watching it. |

For those who predicted terrible situations unfolding in Pieta in episode 21, spot on:
Death for Undine, Veronica, Jean (apparently) and Flora Obviously the Fab Four haven't suffered from death yet, though, and I'm hoping it remains this way.
As for Raki, he finds out and sees Priscilla (naked, no less) eating human body parts and is told by Isley that she's an Awakened. The next episode looks rather exciting, as Clare's probably going to go beyond her limit again against Ligardes, the strongest frickin' Awakened I've seen so far.
If you don't like to see armor-clad women die, don't watch this. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

Holy moly! It's been a while since I've seen so brutal episode such as this. Recently introduced chracters dying in left and right. And even our main character got swapped away like a fly in her half-awakened state.
And now I have to wait for a whole week for the next episode gaaah!
ps. I had an extremely crappy day at work but thanks to Eclipses early release my day was saved! Thank you! _________________ ~Everybody says that I am evil, but that's not true.

That episode was pretty brutal alright. It was expected, though the thing with Raki, its been awhile since I read the manga, but I don't remember that happening. Ah well, some divergence is good and necessary.
Really looking forward to the next episode and...
Clare singlehandedly destroying that awakened.

i don't think jean dies, she mearly gets a fist thrusted through her gut which isn't far from what happened to her in the cave. and the other claymores that were killed were torn in half basicly and she just had a hole put in her. so i don't think she is down for the count yet.
i didn't watch the preview for the next ep but now i'll have to go back and watch it. |

Remember the earlier episode where Claire, Miria, Deneve, and Helen fought the Male Awakened? Deneve would of died if she wasn't the defensive type. The injury to her stomach was fatal, so she wanted to try going all the way to past her limit and see if she can come back.
The blow to Jean stomach is fatal as you will find out in the next episode. And Jean is not a defensive type.. =( I love Kotono Mitsuishi VA too.

These spoilers people keep putting up about what happens in upcoming episodes aren't good. Spoilers are supposed to be there for people that haven't caught up to the current episode, aren't they? Someone who has seen all the episodes so far and thinks the discussions are about those episodes (like me) is going to get a nasty shock when they check these spoilers and find they give away events that are still to come. I've already found out two things I didn't want to know from the next episode, and it kind of spoils my enjoyment.
If you insist on posting these types of spoilers, can't you at least clearly mark them as spoilers for upcoming episodes? |

mel>> spoilers are spoilers... that should be enough warning for EVERYONE... if you don't like it, don't read them...
looking at the spoilers they seem to be not that far off ahead... only speculating on the preview for the next episode or trying to base it off the manga.. which isn't really fit for this thread... since this is the ANIME thread...
blood, guts and gore.... this is what I have been waiting for...
the silver eyed lion king seems to own all so i wonder how easley is if rigardo seems to be well under him...

I can't believe Flora died already T.T. She was the coolest one, I really wanted to see her have a good even fight with a powerful awakened one.

Point taken Xristyan. It's the manga spoilers that really get to me, especially as this series is supposed to be following it pretty closely, but I'll suffer in silence from now on... |

mel>> i understand your plight...
and we share a similar sentiment with regards to the spoilers...
seems like these folks don't listen...
well...
for one more final warning:
ALL POST RELATING TO CLAYMORE MANGA SHALL BE REMOVED
this is the ANIME THREAD.... DISCUSS THE ANIME ONLY
il give a 2 day grace period for anyone who wishes to edit their post...
after that... you can pretty much bet that this thread will be a little bit shorter than it used to be... _________________
